Scottie Pippen: Divorce Decision A Result Of Larsa, Future Hook Up Rumors, Source Reports

When news broke on Friday that Scottie Pippen filed for divorce, many fans on social media were surprised. After all, Scottie and his wife, Larsa Pippen, have been married for nearly two decades. After 19 years of marriage, Scottie and Larsa have four children and plenty of history between the two of them, but that alone was apparently not enough to save their marriage.

That’s because, according to TMZ, Scottie is certain that Larsa has been hooking up with rapper Future.

“Scottie Pippen filed for divorce after it became apparent — at least to him — that his wife Larsa was hooking up with Future.”

A TMZ staff member went on to write, “There’s certainly lots of smoke. Sources on both Scottie and Larsa’s side tell us… she’s been jumping on Future’s private jet, traveling with him to various cities, including Vegas last month. Sources from both sides also say Larsa and Future were very “cozy” recently at Komodo nightclub in Miami.”

Larsa Pippen, 42, and Future, 32, reportedly met August at the Haute Living Color Reveal Party in Miami. According to TMZ, the pair “have been seen together in various places ever since.” The unnamed source for TMZ calls the relationship between Larsa Pippen and Future “casual.”

But according to Larsa’s camp, the rumors that she and Future are a thing simply are not true.

Larsa reportedly began hanging out with Future after her husband, 51-year-old Scottie, began flirting with an actress last summer. Pippen’s estranged wife felt disrespected, the celebrity news website reported, and decided to use Future to get revenge on her husband.

Fans may remember Larsa from the first season of The Real Housewives of Miami. Additionally, Larsa is close friends with Kim Kardashian and has made several appearances on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Scottie Pippen is a retired Hall of Fame basketball player who played alongside Michael Jordan on the Chicago Bulls. During his career, Pippen won six NBA titles with the Bulls.

According to TMZ, the pair agreed to divorce weeks ago but changed their mind in the interim. The police were called to the Pippen home twice during the first week of October, both times for domestic disturbances, though no one was arrested either time.

In a separate report, TMZ alleges that the pair got into a “heated verbal argument” but that the disputes “never got physical.”

“Scottie told police she could come back inside and there would be no issues and even offered to leave if it made Larsa feel more comfortable. Larsa decided to leave and stay somewhere else that night. No arrests were made.”

That was after the first call, which occurred on Oct. 2. The second police call came on Oct. 4, and the details of what led to that call are unclear, according to TMZ.

Scottie eventually filed for divorce on Oct. 18. Together, the pair have four children: Sophia, Scotty Jr., Justin, and Preston. When the news broke that Scottie and Larsa would divorce, Larsa’s rep released a statement.

“After careful consideration and 19 years together, Larsa and Scottie have each filed for dissolution of their marriage. Although they are no longer to be married, Larsa remains hopeful that she and Scottie will always do what is best for their four beautiful children and jointly raise them with love and respect,” Larsa’s rep said.
