Kim Kardashian ‘Refusing’ To Film For ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians,’ Will She Quit?
Kim Kardashian is allegedly “refusing” to film scenes for Keeping Up with the Kardashains in the wake of her scary robbery in Paris, France, on October 2, where she’s reported to have been robbed at gunpoint of more than $10 million worth of jewelry.
According to reports, despite almost three weeks passing since Kardashian was robbed during Paris Fashion Week, Kim still isn’t ready to get back in front of the camera, fuelling rumors that she could potentially be quitting Keeping Up with the Kardashians for good.
“Kim is not ready to return to the show and discuss what happened in Paris. It’s way too soon,” a source confirmed to Hollywood Life of Kardashian’s reluctance to continue filming for Keeping Up with the Kardashians. “She’s still healing and that’s going to take a long time.”
The claims that Kardashian isn’t yet ready to continue filming comes more than two weeks after E! confirmed that filming for the reality series had been put on hiatus indefinitely.
As spokesperson for the network confirmed the show’s hiatus, but did not allude to Kardashian potentially quitting for good, in a statement issued to The Hollywood Reporter earlier this month.
“Kim’s well-being is our core focus right now,” an E! spokesperson told the site of Kardashian’s decision to put the series on hiatus. “No decision has been made as to when production will resume.”
And as Kim continues to enjoy some time away from the spotlight, Hollywood Life’s source noted that Kardashian could potentially be plotting to tell all about her robbery ordeal in a sit down interview with Keeping Up with the Kardashians producer and former American Idol host Ryan Seacrest.
Kardashian has yet to speak out about her robbery ordeal in any capacity, though this isn’t the first time it’s been reported that Kim could potentially be considering quitting Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Closer magazine recently alleged that Kim Kardashian has been “reassessing everything” when it comes to her work and life in the wake of the robbery, and that could include quitting the show that made her a household name.
“Kim’s feeling understandably emotional at the moment,” a source confirmed, adding that Kardashian is currently “unsure whether she wants to do the show” right now because she still feels “so shaken and vulnerable.”
“[Kim’s] reassessing everything at the moment,” the site’s insider added as the Keeping Up with the Kardashians quitting rumors swirled around Kim, adding that the reality star is “not sure she wants to open up her personal life to the world anymore.”
Life & Style also alluded to the potential of Kim quitting the series, which has aired on E! since 2007, claiming that Kardashian was so “hysterical” after the robbery that she told mom Kris Jenner immediately following the scary ordeal that she was done with making her private life so public.
“Kim says the show is putting her in danger because her every move is documented by their cameras,” a source said, alleging that Kardashian told her mom that she was “quitting the show” out of fears for her safety.
But while Kim has continued to stay tight lipped on her robbery ordeal and the quitting reports, People also confirmed that Kim is still feeling seriously shaken up and unsure of the direction of her career going forward following her ordeal at the start of the month.
According to People, Kim “is still figuring out what she wants to do” amid reports that she could potentially pull the plug on Keeping Up with the Kardashians at quit reality TV for good, as the site also confirmed that Kim currently “has zero desire to resume her old life” right now.
