Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Put Chateau Miraval On The Market, Jolie Staying At Rental With Kids

The former A-list couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, have shocked the world by proving all of those tabloid rumors from the better part of 2016 true. Angelina filed for divorce from the Hollywood heartthrob and father to her six children following a reported incident on a private jet that resulted in Pitt being aggressive with the former couple’s eldest son, Maddox, 15.

Pitt and Jolie had owned a beautiful chateau in France called Chateau Miraval. It’s been reported that the property was Brad’s pride and joy after putting a small fortune into renovations. The property also includes a vineyard at which the couple harvested grapes and produced their own wine. Jolie and Pitt even produce their own line of rosé. Ownership of the stunning estate by Brad and Angelina will soon be a far off memory seeing as recent reports indicate that the pair have put the property on the market.

A source spoke about the estranged couple’s decision to sell the property which is situated in the lovely town of Corens, France.

“The home has been valued and is going on the market any day now,”

The source speaks about the issue of the wine line on which both Brad and Angelina have their names.

“It currently says ‘Jolie-Pitt’ on the Château Miraval bottles, and the next season’s batch will have a new reprinted label with no names written on it.”

The source also relays that Angelina intends to sell all of their joint properties in the wake of the surprising divorce. Us Weekly shares of the couple’s history with the estate and about what the stunning property boasts.

“The Fight Club hunk, 52, and the Academy Award–winning actress, 41, purchased Château Miraval in 2012 for an estimated $60 million and tied the knot there on August 23, 2014. The 1,200-acre property boasts 35 rooms and features pine forests, olive groves, terraced hillsides, working vineyards, a private lake and, yes, even a moat.”

Currently Angelina and the couple’s six children are residing in a rental home in Los Angeles. An insider shares about the temporary property, stating “It is a five-bedroom, 4,400-square-foot bluff top estate with a private path that leads to the beach.”

The rental property reportedly also comes with a gorgeous “lagoon-style heated pool, ocean views, media room, in home theater, gourmet kitchen, separate guest house with bedroom, bath and gym, spacious patios with ocean -view dining entertainment space.”

Previously, the couple split their time between two homes that were owned by Pitt prior to he and Angelina becoming romantically involved. One includes a gorgeous compound in Los Feliz and a beachside house in Malibu.

Angelina and Brad are reportedly working hard behind closed doors to settle and agree as to what the financial arrangement will be as the marriage comes to a close. Additionally, a point of much discussion has been about the custody of their six chldren -Maddox, 15,Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, ten, and twins Vivienne and Knox, eight.

It’s been reported that Brad missed a deadline this week when he was to file a legal response to Angelina’s divorce petition, as the Daily Mail shares. The 52-year-old was to file a response on Wednesday, but it’s been noted that his reasons for not answering the petition have to do with the actor wanting to avoid a drawn out legal battle with the 41-year-old actress, as he believes it would “cause great psychological damage to their kids.”

As noted, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in late September following an alleged incident on a private jet while the stars and their six children were flying from Europe to Los Angeles. The former couple had been plagued by divorce rumors for months leading to news breaking about the reality of their relationship.
