Obama Heads To ‘The Daily Show’ On Thursday [Video]

President Obama will sit down with Jon Stewart on The Daily Show on Thursday, October 19.

According to the NY Times, it will be Obama’s second visit to the Comedy Central show since he became president. Obama made four appearances on the show before becoming president.

The Daily Show has hosted several politicians and even former president Bill Clinton. Obama, however, was the first sitting president to ever appear on the Comedy Central show.

The Daily Show writes on Twitter: “Next week: @BarackObama will make his sixth appearance on The#DailyShow on Thursday, Oct. 18. 11/10c.”

Jon Stewart is seen by many as an ally to the president but the comedian had given the Obama administration a good deal of criticism as well. Last week, Stewart ripped Obama’s debate performance apart and recently chided the campaign for harping on the Big Bird issue. The Huffington Post notes that the last time President Obama sat down with The Daily Show host Stewart asked some tough questions about the economy and healthcare.

Are you excited for President Obama to appear on The Daily Show again? The president was criticized by the Romney campaign last month for appearing on The View. The President will likely face similar criticism for sitting down with Jon Stewart but he’ll also be able to reach a large audience of young viewers.

Here are a few videos from the last time Obama appeared on the Comedy Central show.
