Earlier today the Inquisitr reported on a rumor from the Spanish-language Game of Thrones fan site Los Siete Reinos that had been relayed by Winter is Coming. According to that rumor Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington was set to film in Spain.
Winter is Coming has now confirmed that Harington has touched down in Bilbao, Spain. A starting point from where he will presumably begin filming as Jon Snow.

This news comes two days after Los Siete Reinos first reported the buzzy rumor turned major spoiler. While they downplayed its veracity at the time, their sources turned out to be right on the money.
This new information lines up with what Winter is Coming reported earlier in the week. That cast members, Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos Seaworth) and Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), had already been seen filming in the vicinity.

And it does not take a hardcore Game of Thrones fan to know that wherever Davos is, Jon Snow could not be far away. So this news, while incredibly exciting, is not entirely unexpected.
Secrets are something that Game of Thrones has a hard time keeping, especially those that revolve around the ever popular, Jon Snow. In the Season 5 finale, Game of Thrones would shock fans with the apparent death of the fan favorite. In that cliffhanger ending, Jon was stabbed to death by his brothers of the Night’s Watch.
The denouement would send shock waves throughout the fan base as Thrones’ infamous “anyone can go” mentality, hinted it was possible.
For a year, fans speculated and hotly debated whether his death had actually occurred and if so, if a little magic would be used to bring him back. Regardless of where fans sided, talk of the deadly twist would dominate countless articles and think pieces for nearly a year.
And after all of that, Game of Thrones made fans wait until the end of Season 6, Episode 2 to reveal that Jon was back among the living.
In 2015, Game of Thrones’ already secretive production went into full lockdown mode. And despite all of their attempts at secrecy the truth, as the Inquisitr reported, would be leaked online anyway. A lack of spoiler containment has also proven to be the case for production on Season 7.
With fans worldwide and social media buzzing, breaking Game of Thrones news is a thriving enterprise. Now pictures taken by fans have yielded what is without a doubt the biggest spoiler known about Season 7 so far; as it carries huge implications for the future alliances of the show.
Not only does it mean that Jon will be traveling out of the North, for the first time. It means that he will likely meet the only other living Targaryen in the world.
It will not be the first time Jon has met one of his Targaryen relatives. At Castle Black, he knew and was mentored by Maester Aemon, who as it turns out was Jon’s great-uncle. Neither knew of their biological connection at the time. Or did they? Some have speculated Aemon might have known about his secret grand nephew, after all.
But back to the spoiler at hand; what exactly does it mean that Jon will be in Daenerys’ (Emilia Clarke) neck of the woods in Season 7?
Is he there to talk about his birthright, forge an alliance or ask for support with the looming White Walker threat? Those are just a few of the burning questions such a revelation brings.
And will it be a family reunion of the platonic variety or something more? Despite the close biological, blood ties between them, there are fans out there that want to see Jon Snow and his Aunt Daenerys together…romantically. Yep.
Albeit, in another corner of the fandom you will find many positing a theory that Jon will marry his sister/cousin Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) in a show of solidarity. Is Jon headed to see Daenerys as a married man? No one knows…yet.
Regardless, Jon’s newfound proximity to the Mother of Dragons certainly puts them on a collision course for something huge.
Find out what it is when Game of Thrones returns, next summer on HBO.
