Is Jennifer Lawrence Dating Darren Aronofsky? Sources Say ‘Yes!’

Jennifer Lawrence is known for not only her onscreen talent, her beauty, and her endearing wittiness, but she is also admired for her drive and focus. Jennifer reminds us that a woman does not need to have a man on her arm to be considered whole. Although the star has been involved in a few relationships over her years in the spotlight, she is certainly never identified by the man she sees at a given time.

Since Lawrence parted ways from Chris Martin a little over a year ago after an on-and-off romance, the beauty has made it known that she is far too busy for a love life. This is certainly understandable when looking at the slew of films she’s been starring in since the breakup. However, for the first time in a long while, Jen is now the center of the relationship rumor mill as there have been claims that she’s seeing Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky, who recently directed Lawrence in her latest role. The film, however, remains nameless.

E! Online shares a few details on this latest juicy rumor regarding the actress.

“The 26-year-old actress has often joked that she’s forever single, but it looks like things might have taken a turn in the romance department. She’s been photographed spending time with esteemed director Darren Aronofsky, 47, after the two worked together on an untitled project over the summer. Reports have surfaced that Lawrence and the Black Swan director are romantically involved.”

A source spoke with the Daily Mail on the subject of the talented pair who are reportedly quite into one another, stating that Jen and Darren have tried their best to keep things under wraps and away from the media. The source claims that Lawrence began developing feelings for the director during her lengthy, grueling days on set.

“Recently Jennifer was working on a grueling project and she relied on Darren for support and they were in constant contact. It seemed to show they were the real deal.”

As E! suggests, if this latest rumor is fact, it really does prove that Lawrence doesn’t really have a type. Aronofsky is much different from the former men Lawrence has dated. Jen dated Chris Martin from 2014-2015. They dated for around four months after beginning a romance in October of 2014. They split briefly but then rekindled things in May of 2015, yet by August, the pair had officially called it off. Sources claimed that the actress was over “being so noncommittal.”

Prior to Martin, Lawrence had been in a five-year relationship with her X-Men co-star, Nicolas Hoult. The pair split in August of 2014, yet still remain friends, and it was reported that Jen still became emotional over Hoult a year following their breakup.

Lawrence was candid and open in an interview with Diane Sawyer back in November of 2015 in regard to her love life. After being single for a while, she shared the benefit she gained from the alone time.

“I don’t know if I ever will get married and I’m OK with that,” she said. “I don’t feel that I need anything to complete me. I love meeting people, men, women, whatever, I love people coming into your life and bringing something.”

Although Jen doesn’t feel that she needs a man in her life to make her whole, and she doesn’t intend to marry, she is sure of one thing. Jennifer Lawrence would like to be a mother.

“I don’t really plan on getting married. [But] I definitely want to be a mother. I don’t really imagine getting married anymore.”

As it seems at the moment, Jen is enjoying her time in what appears to be the early stages of a romance with Aronofsky, yet the details have not officially been verified.
