Vikings Season 5 Cast, Season 4 Part 2 Air Date, Trailer, And Spoilers
Vikings has been renewed for Season 5 and Season 4 has 10 more episodes to go when it returns next month.
Vikings Season 4 Part 2 air date is November 30, 2016, and we have some spoilers ahead of the premiere about what to expect.
In the midseason finale, we saw Ragnar and Rollo have an epic battle, which resulted in a humiliating defeat for Ragnar.
That led the Viking king to retreat and disappear from Kattegat for many years. Before the episode ends we see an older Ragnar Lothbrook return and challenge his adult sons to kill him before any of them can claim to be king.
The trailer reveals that Ragnar is not killed and has focused his sights on settling his score with King Ecbert of Wessex.
Some reports suggest that Ragnar’s expedition to England will be his last as the old king is expected to die in Vikings Season 4.
According to IGN, Travis Fimmel who plays Ragnar states that his character is done with being king.
“I feel like it always feels like he’s let down or he doesn’t have the support of the people anymore,” Fimmel added. “He doesn’t know who to trust. The reasons is not what he thought he was doing it for. Everything that’s occurring is not why he started doing these adventures. It’s all for different reasons now — other people’s reasons, not Ragnar’s reasons. So he’s lost the beauty. He feels like the beauty of it’s all gone.”
Bjorn will emerge as the new leader and the trailer shows him collaborating with his uncle Rollo. It is unclear how or why Rollo managed to get involved with his family after his betrayal and victory in Paris.
Some spoilers suggest that Rollo will help Bjorn take Wessex as the trailer reveals that the Viking army is much larger than the forces that invaded the first time.

Ivar The Boneless is a legendary Viking and Ragnar will maintain a close relationship with his son. Ivar will be mentored by his father who doesn’t see his strong son as a cripple. In the trailer for Vikings Season 4, a brief clip shows Ivar efficiently killing multiple enemies without the use of his legs.
Spoilers suggest that Ivar will have a custom-made horse carriage that he will take into battle.
A brotherly rivalry is not expected in Vikings. Bjorn will emerge as the leader with the support of Flocki and he will have a cordial relationship with his brothers who accept his leadership.
Ivar is expected to play a more dominant role in Vikings Season 5, which will invite some new cast members.
WWE’s Adam Copeland will join the Season 5 cast of History’s Vikings. He will portray Ketill Björnsson, nicknamed Flatnose, who will play a role in the Viking expansion to Iceland. Copeland’s character is reportedly connected to Floki who picks him.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers is also joining the cast, however, his character’s role is yet to be determined. Both Rollo and Ragnar are expected to exit the show before Vikings Season 5.
Rollo may return for a guest role and Ragnar is expected to die in Season 4.
Lagertha and Aslaug are going to continue to clash in Part 2 of Season 4. Lagertha is also in a same-sex relationship in the trailer, which indicates that the character may be done with men.
The showrunner revealed that Rollo and Ragnar will not fight again.
“It’s the final confrontation between Ragnar and Rollo,” Hirst said. “It’s complete catastrophic defeat for Ragnar, coming on top of the fact that he’s wearing the kingship very heavily now. It doesn’t appeal to him anymore.”
