Who Is Leaving One Direction? Harry Styles? Niall Horan? Liam Payne? Anyone Else?
Who is leaving One Direction? That is the question fans should be asking in relation to the big break-up vs. hiatus debate. Is Harry Styles going solo, never to return?
Obviously, One Direction’s Niall Horan will be 1D, even if he is the only one left! Niall is totally committed to 1D. Horan is quoted in the Evening Standard, from the Kannon and Sybil radio interview.
“We’d be stupid not to go back to it. It changed our lives, there’s no doubt about it. But I don’t know when that will be, whether it’s next year or the year after. But we’ll definitely be pursuing that again. 100 percent.”

Who is leaving One Direction? Why not examine who might leave, member by member, even if the rest of the band gets back together.
What about Harry Styles, with his big solo career? Sure Styles could leave the other three in the dust, but would he? It would hardly be necessary for Styles to leave the band in order to accomplish his personal goals. It is only necessary to slow down the band’s impossibly full schedule. Leaving 1D could vilify Harry to fans, and that alone would hold him loyal.
Who is leaving One Direction? Not Niall Horan. Not Liam Payne, or Louis Tomlinson either, unless one or both of them want to go full-time Mr. Mom, which is doubtful. Payne and Tomlinson will probably be back, but they will want a less strenuous tour schedule. There is no way Louis and Liam are going to be all in for nine months out of every year touring.
Considering Louis Tomlinson’s son, and Liam Payne’s strongly rumored baby on the way, it’s likely they want to slow down, not quit. These babies are a reason to extend the hiatus a bit, or have shorter tours and longer breaks, not break up the highly profitable band.
One Direction’s Harry Styles will very likely be back, but he too will want a less driving schedule, with more studio time for each album and a tour schedule that leaves room for Harry’s solo tours. That is what Alice Cooper does. Alice actually has two bands. He tours with “Alice Cooper,” which has always been the name of the band he tours with, as well as his personal stage name. Alice also tours with Hollywood Vampires, a new super group he has put together.
Is Harry Styles leaving One Direction? Everyone seems to think it is likely that Styles will find better things to do. Won’t Styles need to make more movies as well as doing more solo work? Probably, but Styles is a real workhorse and he can do a lot of different projects at once. Harry’s hero Mick Jagger makes movies, but he doesn’t quit the Rolling Stones to do it.
Harry Styles will still make time for One Direction. Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson won’t be left out in the cold when the Styles coolness train pulls into the station. Harry is more than likely doing all this rebranding for the whole group.
Who is leaving One Direction? Not Harry Styles. He loves 1D. His statement to Another Man is quoted in the Mirror.
“People always ask, right? It’s a difficult question to answer. I would never say we’ll never do anything again but it’s good for us to be exploring different things. Maybe at some point, everyone will want to do something again but it is better if it happens naturally.”
Harry Styles said One Direction was a high priority for him, but Styles is not going to push the boys back out on the road. Horan, Payne, and Tomlinson are enjoying their solo time, and Styles can keep himself busy as long as necessary. Paul McCartney tried to push his boys back out on the road when they were burned out, and to this day he blames that tragic angry moment for breaking up the Beatles, so Styles will not be pushing them. But make no mistake, Harry loves 1D, as he explained to Another Man.
“It’s the most important, the greatest thing that ever happened to me, being in that band. It completely changed my life.”
One Direction’s Harry Styles made a major motion picture, nearly completed a new album and totally re-branded himself as a classic rockstar reincarnation, within nine months. Styles is very driven and goal oriented, and there is no reason he can’t make time for 1D, a solo career, and movies.

Who is leaving One Direction? First, the boy band image is leaving the band. It has to go, immediately. The boy band genre leaves no room for longevity at all. Boy bands have a shelf life, and 1D has already proved by their six years of popularity that they have the potential to be far more than that. But they have to re-brand themselves as serious musicians.
One Direction’s Harry Styles solo work is a stroke of genius for rapid re-branding. Styles’ associations with rock and roll royalty, as explained by The Inquisitr, give the entire band more credibility when he returns. Sure Harry could keep all the coolness for himself, but would Harry really do that? Probably not, but when he does come back, he brings all that cool re-branding with him.
Who is leaving One Direction? The oldest one. No, Not Louis Tomlinson, but Simon Cowell is being kicked out of the band. That is what this whole hiatus thing is most likely about. The band is getting legally free of Cowell. Why? Well, Simon didn’t have the common sense to understand the need to re-brand, and he hates the kind of coolness that the band’s re-branding obviously needs.
One Direction inventor Simon Cowell obviously doesn’t understand Harry Styles’ re-branding plan and proved that when he suggested re-branding Niall Horan’s solo work to make Niall the next Justin Bieber according to the Mirror. Well, Simon is way too late to make a Justin Bieber clone. Justin is struggling hard now to escape the squeaky clean boy star image and so is 1D. Simon still thinks that boys can stay boys forever. That’s just silly, and Bieber seems to be having more trouble transitioning than 1D.
Who is leaving One Direction? Not Niall Horan. Not Louis Tomlinson or Liam Payne, or even Harry Styles. Simon Cowell, Modest Management, and Syco Records are being left behind. Why?
One Direction’s big boss man Simon Cowell was unlikely to ever let up on over-scheduling their tours and overly micromanaging their personal lives. Till the end, he was trying to force an image on them that is terribly uncool for anyone over 14. He has refused to let the boys grow up into a more adult image.
Who is leaving One Direction? Simon Cowell is going to be leaving 1D, and he is bitter about it. Cowell’s friends, people like Louis Walsh, are also taking that personally, according to Digital Spy. Walsh recently called Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson “monsters.”
“Too much money, too much success too quickly. Simon created monsters and that was it. They all think they’re going to be solo stars. They’re not. Only Harry [Styles.] That’s it. Then they’ll be sorry they broke up and it’ll be too late because there’s another boy band. That’s what always happens in boy bands.”

One Direction’s Harry Styles Is Sending A Clear Message So Why Don’t People Get It?
Leaving One Direction is probably painful for Simon Cowell, but he could have avoided it if he were willing to grow out of his dull musical tastes and allow Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan to grow up. Cowell had no viable plan for the group’s longevity, so he had to go.
One Direction’s Harry Styles does have a plan for longevity, and Harry can take Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne with him in the direction he wants and needs to go. Harry might even be able to pick up Zayn Malik. Apparently, Styles does want to continue 1D, so One Direction will continue, after a successful re-branding as a classically styled rock band courtesy of Styles.
