Pitbull Slammed For Inappropriate Comment To Jana Kramer On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Latin Night

Pitbull made a return trip to the Dancing with the Stars judges’ panel, but it could be his last time as a guest judge on the ABC celebrity ballroom competition. The Miami rapper is under fire for a remark he made to DWTS contestant Jana Kramer after her perfect-scoring Argentine tango with partner Gleb Savchenko on Monday night’s live show.

Pitbull was in rare form for Monday’s DWTS Latin Night. The Grammy-winning singer was all business when he opened up the show with a performance of his song “Greenlight” with FloRida and Lunch Money Lewis, but he got a little carried away during his time at the judges’ table after Jana and Gleb’s hot tango to Selena Gomez’ “Hands to Myself” culminated with a few steamy seconds in a shower. Indeed, it may have been the hottest tango ever in Dancing with the Stars history, and Pitbull didn’t hold back when it came to his commentary.

Pitbull was clearly mesmerized by the couple’s super sexy dance, which started out on a bed covered with silk sheets and ended with the shower scene. But while Pitbull was in sync with judges Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Julianne Hough as far as his praise for the dance, he went overboard by taking off his jacket and saying, “It’s getting hot in here!”

Pitbull then proceeded to caress the female judges’ shoulders while saying he was unable to keep his hands to himself. Then, Pitbull went one step further by suggesting that Kramer should take off her wet dress.

“And if you want, you can go ahead and throw that dress over,” Pitbull told the mom of one.

DWTS host Tom Bergeron told the rapper a cold shower was available for him. But in Pitbull’s defense, what he said to Kramer isn’t any worse than some of the things longtime judge Bruno Tonioli has said on air. Still, many viewers thought Pitbull’s comment to Jana was out of line and uncalled for. Angry fans took to social media to slam the rapper for making things uncomfortable for Kramer and the female judges, and some even compared Pitbull to Donald Trump.

While some viewers were offended by Pitbull’s comment, Kramer simply covered her face and laughed nervously. The country star received her first perfect score of 40 for the routine, so that probably helped to ease the pain, but the incident comes just one week after she opened up about her past abusive marriage and her current life as a single mom (Jana’s currently separated from third husband Michael Caussin) on DWTS’ Most Memorable Year night.

As for Pitbull, his reputation as a Latin lover didn’t go unnoticed by Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron earlier in the show. When Pitbull inadvertently blurted out his score for Ryan Lochte and Cheryl Burke’s dance before it was time, Bergeron said, “I gotta believe this is the only time Pitbull has had trouble scoring.”

Pitbull is an avid Dancing with the Stars fan and has performed on the show several times. Pitbull first served as a DWTS judge in November of 2014, and last year he teased that he would be up for a permanent spot at the judges’ table.

Of course, there are no DWTS job openings right now — Pitbull filled in for head judge Len Goodman, who returns to the show next week — but even when there is, some fans clearly think Pitbull should stick to singing and not scoring.
