Kim Kardashian ‘Reassessing Everything’ After Paris Robbery, Could She Quit Fame?
Kim Kardashian is allegedly still so shaken up by her scary Paris robbery that she’s “reassessing everything” in her life as she attempts to get back to normality, and that could mean quitting Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
That’s according to a new report by Closer, as the magazine claimed that Kim allegedly has her family members, particularly mom Kris Jenner, worried that she could pull the plug on her very open lifestyle in the wake of the robbery, potentially losing the Kardashian family millions.
“Kim’s feeling understandably emotional at the moment,” a source recently told the site, adding that Kardashian is still so shaken up by the ordeal that she’s contemplating quitting the family’s reality show, which has aired on E! since 2007.
“[Kim’s] unsure whether she wants to do the show — she feels so shaken and vulnerable,” an insider revealed. “She’s reassessing everything at the moment and she’s not sure she wants to open up her personal life to the world anymore.”
According to the source, Kris has been understanding of Kim’s situation since she returned to the U.S. from Paris but has been urging Kardashian not to turn her back on fame and quit the family’s reality show.
“Kris has been supporting Kim ever since her Paris nightmare — she knows that she’s been through so much,” Closer confirmed, noting that Jenner has “spoken to Kim about the show and explained she doesn’t want her to quit her TV career as a result of the robbery.”
“[Kris] told her that Keeping Up with the Kardashians has made her an international star,” the insider continued of how Jenner reacted to Kardashian’s confession that she could be done with the glamorous and very public life that brought her so much notoriety, adding that Kris believes Kim “shouldn’t let what happened deny her the success it’s taken her years to achieve.”
However, the source also admitted that Kris would support her daughter’s decision should Kim decide that she really is done and quitting Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
“[Kris Jenner] also understands Kim Kardashian’s worries and her safety is Kris’ number-one priority,” Closer’s insider revealed, “so if she really wants to stop filming then she accepts that it’s her choice.”
The report comes just days after Hollywood Life claimed that Keeping Up with the Kardashians now appears to have resumed filming after a two-week hiatus following Kim’s scary robbery, as onlookers reported that Kardashian’s younger sister Kendall Jenner was spotted filming the show in Beverly Hills on October 13.
However, the extent of Kim’s involvement in the upcoming season is yet to be confirmed.
While it’s not yet clear if Kardashian has returned to the front of the camera after taking a hiatus from the spotlight since she was robbed at gunpoint on October 2, this isn’t the first time it’s been reported that Kim has been telling family members that she may be quitting Keeping Up with the Kardashians, or at least no longer appearing in the capacity she once did.
Life & Style claimed earlier this month that Kardashian was “hysterical” in the wake of the robbery and supposedly told Jenner “that she is quitting the show” for fears that she or her two children with Kanye West, North and Saint West, could be put in even more danger.
“Kim says the show is putting her in danger because her every move is documented by their cameras,” a source said, adding that Kardashian’s quitting confession left the Kardashian family, particularly Kris, in “total chaos.”
“Without Kim, there is no-show period,” the insider admitted regarding why Jenner is allegedly so desperate to get Kardashian back on board to film. The insider noted that if Kim did really decided to quit, it could potentially the cost the famous family “over $75 million.”
The Kardashian family has yet to respond to the rumors suggesting that Kim, who has not posted on social media in more than two weeks, could be quitting Keeping Up with the Kardashians, though The Shade Room noted that Kardashian’s assistant shared a message with her fans via Kim’s official app on October 17, confirming that she’s taking some time off.
The handwritten note told Kim’s loyal followers that Kardashian is “taking some much needed time off” but appeared to suggest that the reality star would be back to work soon by promising some new app updates were on the way.
What do you think of reports claiming that Kim Kardashian is “reassessing everything,” including her role on Keeping Up with the Kardashians following her robbery?
