Hayden Panettiere Lends Her Voice To ABC’s ‘Nashville’
Hayden Panettiere was more than willing to lend her singing voice to the ABC drama Nashville, The Fresno Bee reports. The former Heroes star, who once contributed a number of songs to a handful of Disney soundtracks, once thought her recording days were behind her. However, when the chance to star on Nashville came about, Panettiere saw an opportunity to put her voice to good use.
Before she was a full-time actress, CMT reports that Hayden Panettiere divided her time between recording songs and pursuing her Hollywood career. At the end of the day, she had to choose one avenue over the other.
“I quit after about four or five years of recording,” the Nashville star explained to Women’s Health. “I said this is not me. But I said that if I was ever going to do music again, I would do country music, and for this to come along and to get both of the things I love combined in one show, it’s a dream come true. Really. And I don’t mean that in a cliche way.”
In addition to working with many big league songwriters and producers in the music industry, Hayden Panettiere received some assistance from legendary guitarist and producer T Bone Burnett. The actress described the experience as a dream come true.
Internet Movie Database describes the ABC drama as follows:
“Set against the backdrop of the Nashville music scene, the new drama revolves around a 40-year-old superstar Rayna James (Connie Britton), whose star begins fading. She is forced to team up with Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) on tour in order to maintain her label’s support for her latest record, whose sales have been underwhelming.”
