WWE News: Alberto Del Rio Explains Paige Injury, Claims WWE Is Lying

A Paige injury has shelved her in the WWE for most of the year. After the WWE issued their second suspension for the superstar this month, Paige’s father came out and said that the WWE was not taking proper care of his daughter’s injuries and that he wanted her to come home to the U.K. to undergo surgery. However, the WWE is rumored to be balking at supporting the surgery for the Paige injury, saying she doesn’t need the procedure.

Alberto Del Rio took to Twitter and posted a diagnosis that he claims a doctor sent them concerning the Paige injury, and then took a shot at the WWE by saying it is interesting and that “they” say she isn’t hurt.

While Alberto Del Rio didn’t mention the WWE by name in his tweet, it was clear that is who he referenced in concern of the Paige injury. As the Inquisitr previously reported, the WWE might be unwilling to pay for the surgery because they don’t believe that she needs it.

The WWE allegedly claims that their own doctors checked out the Paige injury and that she does not require surgery. If they stick by this statement, the surgery might end up costing Paige money, although if she returns home to the U.K., the healthcare system is different there. Healthcare in England is paid for by the National Health Service for all permanent residents. That might not include Paige though.

This is an interesting time for the Paige injury controversy to surface. After CM Punk left the WWE, he did a podcast with his friend, Colt Cabana, and claimed that the WWE doctors ignored his injuries and refused to clear him to get proper treatment. When Punk talked about his various injuries that WWE Dr. Chris Amann ignored, the WWE released a statement.

“Phil Brooks’ latest claim that WWE directed Dr. Amann to file a lawsuit against Brooks is categorically false. Dr. Amann made the decision to file suit in order to protect his professional reputation. WWE conducted its own investigation into this matter and found no evidence of wrongdoing by Dr. Amann, and thus continues to support Dr. Amann and the staff that runs our world-class medical program.”

According to CM Punk, Vince McMahon is bankrolling the lawsuit against him. However, Alberto Del Rio was smart in his comments about the Paige injury. All Del Rio did was post the actual injuries as reported by a doctor and then didn’t mention the WWE by name. If the WWE continues to deny coverage for the Paige injury, suffered through her wrestling for the company, it could help the CM Punk lawsuit.

As for Paige, before her recent WWE suspension, she said that she had spoken to a doctor and he had given her some great advice about surgeries that would finally end the pain she was in on a constant basis. It was just days later that the WWE suspended Paige.

According to Paige and Alberto Del Rio, she was suspended for taking prescription painkillers that her doctor prescribed for her. The WWE actually came out and said that she was suspended for taking illegal drugs. When Paige was asked about it, she said that she couldn’t comment on it and that she was going to be forced to return to the WWE when healthy because of her contract.

Now, the big news is the Paige injury, which the WWE denies, but Alberto Del Rio claims to have doctor’s proof that surgery is needed. If the WWE continues to ignore the severity of the injury, that could cause some major problems for the company.
