Nick Young’s New Girlfriend Looks A Lot Like Iggy Azalea

Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young is moving on with his life, both on and off the court.

Following allegations that he cheated on fiance Iggy Azalea, which ultimately led to their break-up this past summer, Young has since moved on with new girlfriend, Paloma Ford. But as pointed out by The Sun, Young’s new flame bears a striking resemblance to his old one. A lot.

Maybe Nick’s just got a type?

“Nick Young [is] shacking up with a girl who’s the doppelgänger of his ex-missus Iggy Azalea. It’s not just looks the pair have in common either, as Nick’s new girlfriend Paloma Ford is also a singer – just like Iggy.”

The couple reportedly has been hot and heavy after making their relationship official via Instagram. So hot in fact, that there was a rumor the pair got married in Vegas. This, of course, was proven false, as reported by TMZ.

Young’s life was turned upside down at the end of last season when fellow Lakers guard, rookie D’Angelo Russell, recorded Young in March boasting about hooking up with a younger woman while engaged to rapper Iggy Azalea. Somehow, the video was made public, turning Nick’s life into tabloid fodder that negatively affected his relationship and his basketball life.

But it wasn’t until Azalea discovered Young cheating for herself in June that she decided to call it quits with him, as reported by E! News, in a series of since deleted Tweets.

“I broke up with Nick because I found out he had brought other women into our home while I was away and caught them on security footage,” she said in one Tweet. Azalea then tweeted a follow-up expressing her anger toward Nick.

“This is just like a second shot to the chest. And I feel like I don’t even know who the hell it is I’ve been loving all this time. People in this world are really f–ked up.”

Young’s relationship mess eventually took its toll on his game as well, relegating Nick to the bench at the end of last season. But as reported by the NY Post, Young has apparently picked up the pieces and become a factor as Los Angeles gets ready to hit the hardwood again this coming season.

“Young has battled his way into new coach Luke Walton’s rotation this preseason, averaging nearly 20 minutes over the Lakers’ past four preseason games,” the Post reports. Meanwhile, his new coach Luke Walton has done nothing but praise him, talking up Young as a factor in the Lakers future.

“The way he’s playing right now, it’s going to make decisions tough,” Walton said regarding Young’s spot in the rotation. “He’s been one of our better rebounds since we started playing him, and defensively, he’s been getting after people and doing all those things, so it’s tough to keep someone like that out of the rotation.”

Iggy Azalea, too, has managed to pick herself up since breaking up with Young in June. She’s renting a $20,000 per month apartment in Los Angeles as she gets ready to finally release her new album Digital Distortion in January, as reported by The Daily Mail.

She’s also been rumored to be hot and heavy with rapper French Montana, as reported by the Inquisitr. Azalea recently posted pics to her Instagram account of several diamond rings gifted to her by her “friend” Montana.

So in the end, it looks as if both Iggy Azalea and Nick Young are in better places since breaking up. Even though for Young, it looks like that better place is with a strikingly familiar face.
