If you’re a Game of Thrones fan (and honestly, who isn’t) then chances are, you’re dying for any breadcrumbs you can find regarding the upcoming premiere of season 3.

The third season of Game of Thrones is marked with such anticipation because it will adapt the first half of George R.R. Martin’s third book in his epic A Song of Ice and Fire series, titled A Sto rm of Swords . We won’t spoil any of the plot points of the novel, just in case you haven’t read them, but fans who have a head start on the series know that Game of Thrones is about to get pretty crazy.

Furthermore, Martin himself will write the script for the seventh (of ten) episode for season 3 (though in our opinion, he’d be better off concentrating his efforts on finishing the novels) which will be titled “Autumn Storms.”

So what exactly can we expect from “Autumn Storms?”

For answers, don’t look to Martin:

“I wrote the 7th episode (3×07), called ‘Autumn Storms.’ I know the title is not as brilliant as ‘Blackwater’: (2×09), which was certainly good, but it was the best name I could come up with. At least, there are a number of autumn storms and it’s raining a lot in that chapter.”

Great. Thanks for nothing, George R.R. Martin.

Still, here’s some cool new footage of Game of Thrones , teasing a little bit of what we may come to expect from the ambitious third and fourth seasons. Oh, and just in case you’ve read the books and think that “Autumn Storms” might be about the infamous “Red Wedding,” we agree with CafeMom who thinks that it’s much too soon for that.

Game of Thrones season 3 premieres March 31, 2013.
