‘Ghost Brothers’ Scares Up A New Season On Destination America

Last season, Ghost Brothers provided plenty of spine-tingling moments as TV’s first African-American paranormal investigation team. The Hollywood Reporter shared that production is now underway on the hit series, and the new season of Ghost Brothers should debut sometime in 2017.

When they were children, Dalen Spratt, Juwan Mass, and Marcus Harvey each had paranormal experiences that they couldn’t forget. Now, the trio has decided to find out for themselves if it could be ghosts or other paranormal phenomena that make things go bump in the night, or whether there’s a more rational explanation. Either way, the three friends are determined to discover that answer for themselves on Ghost Brothers.

For those unfamiliar with the Ghost Brothers team, Dalen is considered the leader of the group, and both he and Juwan are fashion designers with their own label called Loren Spratt. Marcus, known as a comedian and “Barber to the Stars,” owns his own barber shop in Atlanta, Georgia, and first met Dalen in 2009. The barber shop is where the Ghost Brothers trio usually meet up to discuss new cases that they are thinking about investigating.

Although all of the men were raised in very religious homes and Spratt, Mass, and Harvey were taught that no one should mess with the dead, they started investigating a myriad of haunted houses, hotels, and cemeteries in 2011 during their free time. Now, they are able to take that passion to a whole new level on Ghost Brothers. The Ghost Brothers team brings viewers a fresh perspective to investigating the mysterious and, at times, the frightening world of the paranormal.

According to Broadway World, despite being in what are reported to be some extremely haunted locations, the Ghost Brothers team blends their natural curiosity with their own special comedic flair. This often results in several lighthearted and funny moments during what is usually a scary and sobering experience for most people.

“We’re excited to join the Destination America family and prove that there can be a little humor in the unknown,” Spratt said. “But the best part about Ghost Brothers is that this time, the black guys make it out of the haunted house alive!”

The Hollywood Reporter also noted that the first season of Ghost Brothers featured several eerie locations such as the Allen House in Monticello, Arkansas, the Delta Queen riverboat on the Tennessee River, the historic Magnolia Hotel, and the stagecoach station in Texas. There’s not a lot of information currently out for what to expect during Season 2, but the Ghost Brothers will take viewers to new and iconic locations and, in the process, will uncover surprising secrets that the team never saw coming.

Ghost Brothers is part of Destination America’s special “Ghostober” programming, which offers viewers 31 spooky nights of thrills and chills. Throughout the month of October, Ghost Brothers fans can watch special episodes from the first season. These episodes will feature social media extras and exclusive, new footage from the show. As an added treat, the network will be airing the Ghost Brothers: Ghostin’ Edition marathon on Wednesday, October 26, and again on Wednesday, November 2, from 8-11 p.m. ET.

Ghost Brothers is produced for Destination America by Craig Piligian’s Pilgrim Media Group, a Lionsgate company, in association with Crybaby Media. Piligian and Mike Nichols are executive producers for Pilgrim, with Danny Passman serving as the executive producer for Crybaby. For Destination America, Fay Yu is executive producer.
