Zayn Malik And Gigi Hadid Are Excited About Zayn x Versus: Z Made A Fantastic Impression on Donatella Versace
Though Gigi Hadid’s Beau Zayn Malik has been feeling under the weather lately, it seems his mood might be lifting a bit. All that is thanks to Donatella Versace who decided to work with Malik on a Zayn x Versus fashion line.
Zayn x Versus will be a new clothing collection representing a collaboration between Donatella Versace and Zayn Malik. The collection will be part of Versus Versace, a sibling brand of Versace.
Donatella Versace was blown away by Mr. Malik’s good manners and gentlemanly behavior toward Gigi Hadid. Mr. Malik made quite an impression on Ms. Versace according to USA Today.
“And he [Zayn Malik] impressed me very much, He was so mature, so thoughtful, treated her [Gigi Hadid] like such a gentleman. They are very nice young people, a lovely couple, in fact. And then he told me how much he loved fashion. It was then I knew he was the right face for what I had in mind.”

Zayn Malik has a heart of gold beneath that bad boy image and his dark brooding nature, and it was all just too perfect for Versus Versace. The former One Direction cutie is apparently the spirit of Zayn x Versus thanks to Z’s successful re-branding.
“Versus is the rock and roll soul of the Versace family and has always been associated with music. Everyone from the Foo Fighters to Lenny Kravitz has played at the shows, and it is all about rebellion. For me, Zayn was the perfect fit.”
Zayn x Versus means that apparently, Donatella Versace liked Zayn Malik over Harry Styles and other One Direction band mates. Ms. Versace said she met Z alongside Harry for the first time many years ago.

One Direction didn’t fit the desired image for her brand at all, but she was impressed by Malik. Later she met Malik again while he was dating Gigi Hadid. Z, recently re-branded as R&B solo singer, just fit the Versus image. Malik was right to ditch the image Simon Cowell created. It wasn’t the real Z. as he has often said.
Donatella Versace told the New York Times she knows Gigi Hadid well and got re-acquainted with Z through Gigi.
“I met him again when he started to date Gigi, who I work with all the time.”
Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid are still struggling with Z’s social anxiety, though. The main giveaway came when Malik no-showed at a press conference after the announcement. He gave all the reporters the slip and darted away with Miss Hadid. Z’s stage fright was apparently triggered again.
Unruffled, Donatella Versace talked to the reporters herself. Ms. Versace assured that the Zayn x Versus line would be very relevant to society and young people. Donatella explained to the New York Times how Zayn Malik was the right image for the Versus company.
“Versus is everything that the Versace line is not. It is loud, it is rebellious — I don’t want shoppers buying both from Versus and Versace. The houses have different souls. I wanted Zayn because he can help me talk to his followers. I want to listen to their language. I want to learn more about them, what they think and what they like. They are a new generation that without working with someone like Zayn, I will never reach.”
Zayn Malik did send out an email to the press he was not comfortable meeting in person about Zayn x Versus. The New York Times quotes Zayn’s message.
“I think Versus has always been a very cool brand and is a great brand for me and for people in my generation. I’ve always wanted to design clothes and there’s no brand I’d rather design for than Versus. I like to learn about things I’m interested in and I enjoy being around creative people so I think it will be cool. The bonus is that I get to collaborate with Donatella, whom I love and admire. I know we’ll create something amazing.”
Gigi Hadid is proud and she should be. Just look! Zayn Malik used the words “cool,” “great,” and “enjoy.” He even used the phrase “love and admire.”This is the most positively worded thing Z has said publicly in about a year.
The Zayn x Versus statement about Donatella Versace was extremely positive and marks a sign of great improvement in Zayn Malik’s overall condition. It contrasts heavily with a recent quote that got him accused of slamming One Direction because it had so many dark and negative words.
One Direction wasn’t slammed at all, really. Malik’s meaning wasn’t negative toward anyone. It was just word choices associated with anxiety. Inquisitr has that story.
Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid deserve to be happy together. They are such a sweet couple as Donatella Versace pointed out. Fans need to remember that Z is such a sweet guy, he’s just struggling with social anxiety disorder, and that problem is not unusual for people with Zayn’s overall intelligence and creativity level.
Zayn x Versus is going to be really cool. Malik will see to it that those designs rock. Like Harry Styles, Zayn Malik is a perfectionist. Unlike Harry, though, he is self-critical and that makes him even choosier than Styles about his own work. It has been said that Zayn wrote twice as many songs for his first album as he actually needed and then rejected over half of them.
Donatella Versace recognized in Zayn Malik the very properties that One Direction badly needs in their branding. Z has a so-called “bad boy” image and so will Zayn x Versus. That doesn’t actually mean he is bad. He is just complex, dark, and brooding. Malik is also extremely creative and highly intelligent. Z has a natural curiosity about everything.
