Tamar Braxton Hits Back After Toya Wright Accuses Her Of Banning Her From ‘The Real’
Tamar Braxton is being accused of having friend Toya Wright blacklisted and banned from appearing on the daytime talk show The Real, and now Tamar’s hitting back amid the allegations.
Toya made the claim about Tamar in her new tell-all biography, where she appeared to suggest that Braxton, who was fired from the talk show back in May, refused to have her on The Real while she was still on the hosting panel alongside Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housley.
Speaking out about The Real in her biography In My Words… My Reality, Toya did not mention Braxton by name, but claimed that she believes she was blacklisted from the daytime talk show by a “friend” who worked there, only to suddenly receive an invite for an appearance at the beginning of Season 3 last month after Tamar was fired.
“My friend was on the talk show for what I believe was two seasons and I was never able to go on there,” Toya wrote in the book according to thatgrapejuice.net, seemingly alluding to Braxton, who infamously did not return for Season 3 after being let go from the series earlier this year.
“After my friend was fired, my publicist was able to get me on the show, which I found to be strange,” Toya said of her first appearance on The Real, but did not reveal exactly why Tamar could have blacklisted her from the series.
Toya then admitted that she has not spoken to the friend in question, all but confirmed to be Braxton, regarding why she was invited on the show following her departure or the circumstances that surrounded her firing.
“I never had a convo with my homegirl about what happened to her and how she ended up leaving the talk show,” Toya admitted according to an excerpt from the book obtained by thatgrapejuice.net. “All I knew is that she no longer worked there.”
Though Toya Wright did not mention Tamar Braxton by name, notably, Wright made her debut appearance on The Real during the Season 3 premiere week on September 14, sitting alongside Tamar’s former co-stars Jeannie, Tamera, Loni and Adrienne, who Braxton has made it pretty clear in recent months that she’s locked in a nasty feud with.
As reported by Fameolous, Wright’s appearance on The Real appeared to cause drama and a potential feud for herself and Braxton, as Tamar then proceeded to unfollow Toya and singer Monica, who Tamar is also through to be friends with, after both appeared on Season 3 of the Fox talk show.
The site slammed Tamar as being “petty” while alluding to a feud between the three, claiming that Braxton unfollowed both Monica and Toya on Instagram after both posted pictures from their appearances on The Real.
“Is Tamar bitter?” Fameolous asked after Braxton clicked the unfollow button for her now seemingly former friends last month. “She unfollows anyone who associates with The Real talk show.”
Tamar later took to Instagram to comment on the feud reports and to deny that her decision to unfollow Wright and Monica stemmed from their appearances on The Real, instead claiming that her seemingly now former friends simply post too much.
The Jasmine Brand claimed that Braxton posted a lengthy rant to Instagram last month, in which Tamar revealed that she’d been in the hospital and also denied that unfollowing Toya and Monica spelled drama.
“Like why does it have to be ‘Houston she has ANOTHER problem’… she’s throwing shade cause WHILE I don’t feel well I don’t want to see certain s*** on my page?” Braxton wrote as the feud rumors swirled, “but that means I’m petty cause according to you ALL… unfollowing folks means DRAMA!”
“Some people post too d**n much!! And I will and do unfollow they a** cause I don’t feel like seeing your 147,997,886 zillion posts,” Tamar then continued in the post, which has since been deleted.
But while Tamar appeared to deny that The Real had anything to do with her unfollowing earlier this month, after Toya seemingly spoke out about Braxton in her book, the Braxton Family Values posted a more cryptic message about losing a friend on social media on October 11, seemingly confirming a feud with Wright.
Tamar did not mention Toya by name, though Braxton appeared to refer to Wright’s call out, uploaded a lengthy Instagram post that discussed unhealthy relationships and losing friends shortly after Wright hit the headlines for her The Real claims.
“You may MISS the person but good riddance!” Tamar captioned the post, which spoke of losing friends who “don’t add value and purpose to your life.”
Do you think Toya Wright and Tamar Braxton are now caught in a nasty feud following their recent drama over The Real?
