WWE News: Daniel Bryan Excited For New Baby, Happy John Cena Doesn’t Want Kids
Possibly the last person that WWE fans would expect to want his private life to play out on television is Daniel Bryan. When Daniel Bryan signed up for the Total Bellas television show with his wife Brie Bella, it was clear they were attempting to get pregnant. However, the fact that they did get pregnant shortly after Daniel Bryan was forced to retire from the WWE will show a very private side of Bryan’s life that he might not have expected.
In an interview with E! Online, Brie Bella and Nikki Bella talked about the pregnancy with Daniel Bryan and how it might play into the new WWE reality TV show Total Bellas. According to Brie Bella, she and Daniel Bryan are very excited to have the baby and want to have one more, hoping for two children.
“We think two is great. You know my husband has a severe problem with population control…so two babies at the most.”
That quote should come as no surprise. Daniel Bryan is from the Pacific Northwest and has always been a green lover. He has spoken before about his love for small houses and letting nature prevail over the city. However, the next quote by the former WWE champion was a little more surprising. Nikki Bella said that Daniel Bryan has an opinion about her relationship with her boyfriend John Cena.
“That’s why he thinks it’s a good thing that John (Cena) doesn’t want to have kids, because of population control. I’m like, ‘Um excuse me?! Like thanks?”
The Daniel Bryan comment is funny for a number of reasons. First of all, anyone who watched Total Divas knows that Nikki Bella has always wanted more out of her relationship with John Cena than he did. She wanted to marry and have a family and he doesn’t care about either of those things. Despite this, Nikki Bella has remained with him all this time.
Having Daniel Bryan make a comment about being happy John Cena doesn’t want to have kids is almost a slap to the face of Nikki Bella. Nikki has already watched her sister live through the wedding that Nikki dreamed of and now the pregnancy and baby is another dream that Nikki isn’t enjoying that Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan get to enjoy.

Of course, this isn’t easy on Daniel Bryan either. Bryan was working at a WWE comeback when he started appearing on Total Bellas. Then, with the cameras rolling, Daniel Bryan got a call from Vince McMahon telling him that he had to retire immediately on WWE Monday Night Raw.

In an interview on Talking Smack, Daniel Bryan said that he suffered a mental breakdown on Total Bellas because of the forced WWE retirement and all the stress that he was under, as well as the filming of a reality show with the cameras pointed at him.
“[The cameras are] there as I get the phone call from Vince [McMahon] telling me that he wants me to retire Monday. And then Nicole has her neck surgery, we all go into John and Nikki’s house and we live in there… For me, it was a very difficult part of my life, and it’s like… those kind of periods when you have a mental breakdown, you don’t want that to be filmed, and for me it’s filmed.”
Total Bellas airs on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. EST on E! TV. The show stars Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Nikki Bella, and Brie Bella as the WWE superstars attempt to all live under one roof. Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella are expecting their first child, which is rumored to be due in early spring 2017.
