Melissa Gorga Says ‘Family Is Family’ After Jacqueline Laurita’s Harsh Comments
Melissa Gorga was shocked and surprised when she learned that Jacqueline Laurita was clearly upset with her. While Gorga had some suspicions that Jacqueline may have been mad at her, she never expected that Laurita would lose her cool during a dinner in Vermont. She literally stood up and yelled at Melissa and Teresa Giudice, calling them fake and even called Giudice a criminal. It sounds like she’s closing all of the doors on this friendship, even though she’s emotionally invested in the tension.
According to a new tweet, Melissa Gorga is now revealing that she felt she needed to protect and defend Teresa Giudice during the screaming match because they have come so far. Melissa and Giudice decided to put the past behind them so they could move forward and Gorga could be there for Teresa, who would now become a single mother to four daughters. Melissa Gorga also wanted fans to know that her family comes first, no matter what.

“Family is family. I need to keep my husband & our children together & happy. That is not fake. That is very real #RHONJ,” Melissa Gorga revealed on Twitter this week after watching Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
However, her comments were not exactly accepted by viewers of the show, because they felt that she hadn’t actually included all of her family members. Melissa Gorga has admitted that she has grown apart from Rosie Pierri and Kathy Wakile, possibly because of Teresa. When her sister-in-law went to prison, Gorga may have taken her side in various matters in hopes of keeping the family peace, but fans don’t understand why Melissa’s definition of family doesn’t include Kathy and Rosie.

“Family is family except for Kathie & Rosie? Why…Because your father-in-law doesn’t like them? Fans have emotionally vested in you when you & Joe were being abused by Tre & Joe. So not as quick to believe this new Teresa emotionally invested in the well being of Melissa & her husband, not the show,” one fan of the show pointed out to Melissa Gorga, but she didn’t reply.

While Gorga didn’t acknowledge this tweet, she did write back to a tweet that was possibly about Jacqueline. Maybe fans asked her to talk to Laurita and work out their issues, but Gorga revealed that it’s hard to talk to people about Laurita because she’s acting like a child.
“Pretty hard when someone’s demanding you to speak like you’re their child,” Melissa Gorga revealed on Twitter to a tweet that has since been deleted.

In her blog for the show, Gorga revealed that she found the trip to be a hot mess, because she didn’t think that Laurita’s comments made any sense. Melissa would have preferred to be at home with her children instead of fighting with her co-star.

“The fact is that her insecurities and paranoia created all of this nonsense. I am a grown adult and am very capable of being friends with her and having a relationship with my sister-in-law even if the two of them are not getting along. This is all just an excuse for her to argue with me and then try to make it look like I’m at fault,” Melissa Gorga wrote in her blog for The Real Housewives of New Jersey, according to Bravo, adding, “I have to say, the amount of time and energy her and her sidekick spend lying and spinning things is incredible. I’d rather spend time with my kids on the football field.”
What do you think of Melissa Gorga’s comments about family? Do you think she’s wise for her to put Teresa first?
