Karrueche Tran Denies Being Friends With Cydney Christine Amid Chris Brown Dating Rumors

Chris Brown may have requested that fans stop tagging him in Instagram posts concerning his former girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, earlier this week, but it looks as if the model is equally committed to distancing herself from the “Grass Ain’t Greener” singer after speaking out against claims suggesting that she is friends with Brown’s rumored new girlfriend, Cydney Christine.

Last month, Chris Brown ignited dating rumors with the Instagram model, Cydney Christine, after the duo was spotted in attendance at a USC vs. UCLA women’s volleyball match together on September 21.

After several fans took to Twitter to comment on Brown’s unexpected attendance at the game, in addition to uploading several photos of Chris Brown and Cydney Christine hanging out courtside throughout the duration of the game, The Shade Room took to Instagram to speculate over whether or not Brown and Christine may be in the early stages of a budding new romance.

“#ChrisBrown spotted with a new thang #CydneyChristine *side-eyes emoji*,” the site wrote in the caption of its Instagram post alongside a fan-uploaded photo of Brown and Christine at last month’s game.

It didn’t take long for fans to weigh-in with their thoughts regarding Chris Brown’s rumored new girlfriend.

Shortly after the social media site uploaded the photo of Brown and Christine to Instagram, fans were able to dig up an old photo of Cydney posing for a picture with Karrueche Tran on the model’s social media page, thus igniting rumors suggesting that the duo might have been friends in the past.

In response to speculation, sources close to Karrueche Tran recently revealed to Urban Islandz that while Karrueche and Cydney have posed for photos together in the past, the duo has no prior history of a close friendship.

“At the time she was just a fan who was taking a pic with Karrueche and Chris Brown,” Tran’s sources explained to the site, echoing similar comments made by Karrueche’s manager, Jacob York, in the comment section of The Shade Room’s photo.

After rumors of a budding relationship between her and Chris Brown began to make headlines, Cydney Christine personally responded to the speculation via Instagram by commenting on the trending photo of her and Brown with the message, “Sorry for the confusion. But we’re just friends.”

While Chris Brown may not be romantically involved with the Instagram model, the singer appeared to silence the ongoing rumors suggesting that he is hoping to reunite with Karrueche Tran after taking to social media earlier this week to ask fans to stop tagging him in posts relating to his past romance with Karrueche.

On Thursday, Chris Brown took to Instagram to comment on a fan-uploaded screengrab of an old Instagram post from 2014 in which Brown proclaimed his love for Karrueche and hinted at the possibility of starting a family with the model prior to their split in early 2015.

“@karrueche damn near 5 years and this woman still putting up with my s***,” Brown’s throwback post begins. “Need to have this baby and stop playing! Lol! My WCW.”

In the caption of their screengrab, the Instagram user began gushing over Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran’s former relationship while expressing their disappointment in the couple having not reunited following their split last year, revealing, “When you really wanted this to happen between this couple but things just don’t work out! Relationships don’t last forever and that’s what I learned from my past relationships! But I got so much love for both of these people! Especially Chris *heart emoji*.”

In response to the fan’s message, Chris then took to the comment section of the post to request that fans stop tagging him in Instagram posts concerning his past relationship with Karrueche.

“Stop @ing me in this NUTT A** S***,” Brown began in his comment, as seen in a screengrab captured by Celeb_Gozzip. “If y’all fans of ME stop @ing me in this f***s***.”
