‘The Originals’ Season 4: Will Kol And Rebekah Mikaelson Betray Family? Joseph Morgan Teases Spoilers

The Originals Season 4 is not on the fall 2016 lineup. Instead, The CW network pushed it back and new episodes will air early next year. Despite that being a long way off, that doesn’t mean there isn’t any information on the characters. It is being teased that at least one person will betray another. Also, find out what could happen with Klaus and Marcel.

Last season, Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) was punctured with the Tunde Blade, sent into an agony-induced coma, and locked away in a secret tomb. However, he isn’t out of the game just yet. He is still alive and due to Freya’s spell, that means Klaus’ siblings are alive, too.

When the show returns with Season 4, five years will have passed. Freya (Riley Voelkel), Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic), Rebekah (Claire Holt), and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) will still be on the dreamscape. With nowhere to go and nothing to do but wait, everyone will have done a lot of thinking. On Instagram, Joseph Morgan teased that strange alliances will be formed, enemies will turn into friends, friends will transform into enemies, and there will be a lot of betrayal. He also teased that someone will get staked.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kol and Rebekah will have a bizarre bond in Season 4. This seems to go with what executive producer Julie Plec teased about Kol and Rebekah Mikaelson in The Originals.

“Rebekah, like her siblings, has gotten caught up into the unified family takedown and spent five years in an alternate reality and is now back once again with that same choice she always has: What is my life supposed to be outside this crazy family. Kol, interestingly enough, is asking himself those same questions. The two of them are going to bond in a way that we haven’t gotten to see so much about what their future is in this family and how much of this crazy they’re expected to live through.”

Kol and Rebekah pairing up in The Originals is definitely a bit odd, considering their history. Of course, Morgan could have been referring to anyone, including someone outside of his family.

As for enemies becoming friends, Morgan could have been hinting at an alliance between Klaus and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). The two were like family, but then Davina (Danielle Campbell) died in Season 3 of The Originals. Marcel vowed revenge, which led to Klaus’ current comatose state. When Klaus wakes up, he isn’t going to be thrilled with Marcel. However, there might be a more important issue to take care of. That is a new villain is coming to New Orleans. It is a sadistic vampire. Although he is searching for Klaus, it was teased by TV Guide that he could be dangerous for others. It was also stated that the sadistic vampire sets his sights on Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood).

Even though there is a possibility that Klaus and Marcel will team up, don’t expect all to be forgiven. Spoilers for The Originals Season 4 from TVOvermind state that Klaus will be planning revenge. It isn’t a matter of if it will happen, but when. He will not act hastily and will instead take his time waiting for the perfect opportunity.
