Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Divorce: How Are The Kids Doing?
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce shocked the world in more ways than one when it was confirmed more than a week ago. But amid all the hoopla surrounding the controversial split, perhaps the most concerning part about it is the custody situation with their six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne.
As previously reported by E! News,Angelina Jolie is seeking full physical custody of all six children because she believes it is in their best interests. Brad Pitt, on the other hand, is now facing allegations of child abuse following Angelina’s claim that he had a physical altercation with their son Maddox aboard a private plane during a trip from Europe to LA earlier this month.

For now, Brad Pitt is being investigated by the Department of Children and Family Services in Los Angeles County and reports say that the Fury actor “is cooperating fully.” A source close to Pitt said that he “takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children.”
“He will continue to do what’s in the best interest of the children…[Pitt] is most concerned about his children and the best thing for them is to keep the situation private,” a source told E! News.
Shortly after his divorce from Jolie was announced, Pitt spoke about the split, saying, “I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”
As it stands, Brad has yet to see his children since the divorce last week. Pitt is looking to work things out.
“He [Brad Pitt] really wants to see the kids and to work out an arrangement that is best for them,” says an insider. “[He] wants to work things out privately and amicably.”

E! News also learned that Angelina Jolie doesn’t intend for the physical custody situation to remain permanent since she realizes that she and Pitt need to co-parent together for the good of the children.
For now, the six children are reportedly living with their mom Angelina in a rented and undisclosed home in Malibu in order to stay away from the public eye and Brad Pitt.
According to an insider for Entertainment Tonight, Jolie is getting some support from her closest friends, Lady Arminka Helic and Chloe Dalton.
Angelina, who worked as a Special Envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), met Arminka when she served as a special adviser to Britain’s former Foreign Secretary William Hague a few years ago.
The source told ET that the two women are encouraging Jolie to stage a smear campaign against Pitt right from the start and that they were already spending time with the family even before the Maleficent star filed the divorce.
“Angelina is very close to Arminka and Chloe, and really has left her Hollywood circle in recent years to focus on politics and human rights,” the source said. “Angelina respects the two of them completely and doesn’t make any decisions without them.”
On Tuesday, Angelina Jolie’s bodyguard was spotted picking up four pizza boxes and another bag of food from D’Amore’s Famous Pizza in the Malibu area around 6 p.m.

“We’re not sure if it was just the kids eating it, and perhaps they over-ordered, but four pizzas for six kids averages to over five slices per kid,” the source said. “They must be really hungry!”
Sources say that Brad and Angelina’s marital problems started because of the couple’s conflicting priorities. The problems intensified when Brad Pitt disapproved of Jolie’s intention to continue taking the kids to different countries as is part of her responsibilities for the UN.
“Every marriage has priorities and they have been able to navigate them up until now,” the source said of Pitt and Jolie’s relationship. “Brad has different priorities. He’s a leading actor with movies coming out. Angelina has her things she wants to do and no one is saying that’s wrong.”
“Her global ambitions are part of the current problem,” the source said of Jolie. “I don’t think anyone wants their kids all over the place.”
