Sarah Jessica Parker Slams ‘Sex And The City’ Feud Rumors Once And For All

As Sarah Jessica Parker hints at a reunion and third movie for the Sex and the City cast, rumors again stir that there has been a long-running feud between Parker and her Sex and the City co-star, Kim Cattrall. While the rumor mill pushes the idea that the suspected feud may cause the new movie to come crashing down, Sarah steps up to insist that there was never any feud between Cattrall and herself. In fact, Ms. Parker reveals that she and Kim were close throughout the run of the series, adding that she has always been saddened by the gossip surrounding their friendship.

Sex And The City Star Sarah Jessica Parker Sets The Record Straight

Six years after the most recent Sex and the City movie was released, E! News reports that rumors still threaten to tear Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall apart. While most rumors are based on fact, Parker insists that there’s no truth to the suggestions that there has been an ongoing feud between Ms. Cattrall and herself since the run of the original series.

“It was always so heartbreaking to me that there was this narrative about Kim and myself because it just didn’t reflect anything that happened on that set,” Parker said. “They just didn’t do it to the Sopranos guys. It was so strange to me and upsetting.”

Sarah recalls that she posted something on her social media accounts to acknowledge her Sex and the City co-star’s birthday and was surprised to get so much feedback from fans who assumed she disliked Kim.

Since that last Sex and the City feature film, Ms. Parker has kept busy both on screen and in her business ventures, so she expresses the feeling that it has been inspiring to work on projects not related to Sex and the City. Most recently, Sarah Jessica Parker has been working on the HBO series, Divorce, but that doesn’t mean she’s forsaken all hope of a third Sex and the City feature film.

Sex And The City May Be Coming Back To Theaters For A Third Time

While there aren’t any definite plans as of yet, In Touch Weekly reveals that the stars of the Sex and the City franchise are open to the prospect of reuniting for a third feature film. Ms. Parker says, as far as she’s concerned, anything is possible, hinting that she may be all for a new movie.

“I don’t think any of us have said no,” Parker added. “I don’t know whether it’s a series or the movie. I think that remains an open question and discussion that will continue until it’s been resolved.”

Sarah has always maintained that she felt at least one more story left to tell in the Sex and the City franchise, so the idea that the women may reunite is more than a mere possibility. Judging from the comments made by Parker, talks are ongoing and something may soon be revealed.

In another recent interview, shared by International Business Times, both Parker and director Michael King revealed that a story had already been plotted out, suggesting that they were just awaiting a green light for a third Sex and the City film.

“It’s all really about the stories, and if you actually think you have something left to say that would make it exciting and worthwhile for the fans’ time, that’s really the question,” King said. “It’s really like, is there enough or more to say that would justify people risking seeing their favorite characters again? And I think there’s one chapter left.”

Sarah Jessica Parker will return to television on October 9, when Divorce debuts on HBO.
