Jamie Dornan Says He’s Finished With ‘Fifty Shades’ As The ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Trailer Is Released

Jamie Dornan has brought good and bad news for Fifty Shades of Grey fans this month, according to People magazine. While the bad news is that he won’t be returning for a possible fourth installment of the erotic film, the good news is the appearance of his naked torso in the new trailer.

Fans of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey have a new steamy scene to enjoy in the first trailer for the erotic sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. The trailer, which was released earlier this month, also features a sexy masquerade ball.

The sequel, which picks up the story after Anastasia (Johnson) leaves Christian (Jamie Dornan), hits theaters on February 10 of next year, but it doesn’t mean Universal Pictures won’t tease the fans six months before the erotic drama’s official release.

The trailer for the sequel proves that the sexual adventures of Johnson and Jamie Dornan’s characters have only just begun. While the first installment of the film, based on E.L. James’ erotic trilogy series, was released in February of last year, it appears that creators have worked hard all this time to whip up the sexual tension onscreen.

And clearly, they did a great job judging by that steamy trailer, in which Jamie Dornan’s character is seen begging Anastasia to come back and saying that he had no idea what their romance was going to become.

But Anastasia is not so quick to jump back into Jamie Dornan’s character’s bed as she has doubts as to how their relationship can work. However, they get along very well later in the trailer, as the two are seen going to a shower dressed (only a few moments later the clothes are removed, obviously).

The sequel, which will feature Grey’s sexual mentor played by Kim Basinger, will apparently not only be about wild sex between Johnson and Jamie Dornan’s characters, as the trailer also shows a romantic scene between the duo, in which they are seen cozying up on a sailboat.

But that’s not the only teasers from the trailer, as dark characters from Christian’s past show up. The trailer came a day after the film’s official poster, showing Jamie Dornan standing behind a masked Johnson, was released.

Fifty Shades of Grey grossed $571 million worldwide, and its sequel, Fifty Shades Darker, will catch many people’s attention on February 10, 2017, when the film debuts. The third and the final flick in the erotic saga, Fifty Shades Freed, will be released on February 9, 2018.

And the bad news is that Jamie Dornan has just ruled out the possibility to return to a potential fourth installment of Fifty Shades of Grey, according to News Australia. The 34-year-old Irish actor has recently wrapped filming for the second and third installments of the saga, but he will not reprise his role anymore.

In fact, Fifty Shades of Grey author E.L. James already has the fourth novel, Grey, written. But if it will be adapted to big screens, Jamie Dornan won’t be starring in it, and it’s official now. Speaking to the Sun, the actor said he has “done Fifty Shades forever” now that he has finished filming.

Explaining that he moves on very fast in his mind, Jamie Dornan said he doesn’t want to be synonymous with one character, and added that he will move on to the next project and won’t worry about Christian Grey.

Jamie Dornan also spoke out for the first time about his falling out with the author E.L. James and director Sam Taylor-Johnson, saying that making “a movie of this scale” involves a lot of pressure.

“Not just Sam and Erika, everyone is feeling the pressure. Everyone is trying to complete their role as best they can. For Erika these are her babies, these mean more than her to anyone else.”
