‘Days Of Our Lives’: Jen Lilley Teases Theresa Donovan Faces More Emotional Turmoil [Spoilers]

Days Of Our Lives fans were disappointed when Jen Lilley announced she was leaving the NBC soap opera. With everything Theresa Donovan has been through, viewers are hoping her exit is positive. However, the actress recently hinted that more emotional turmoil may be headed her way.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Jen Lilley is not leaving television screens until the end of the year. When the actress announced her departure, she said fans would see her for six more months. Therefore, it was clear that Xander (Paul Telfer) would not be successful in killing her. At least, not the first time he tried.

In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, co-head writers Dena Higley and Ryan Quan explained that Clyde (James Read), Orpheus (George DelHoyo), and Xander would be sticking around for a few months. So, Theresa might have another frightening encounter with the trio on Days Of Our Lives.

Spoilers from She Knows also revealed some additional information about Theresa Donovan. In a response on Twitter to a fan, Lilley teased that fans should wait until November. She even mentioned the “Ugly Crying Olympics,” which hints that Theresa might be headed for more emotional trauma in the next few months. It isn’t known if this is related to Xander or something else, though.

Theresa Donovan has already been through so much on Days Of Our Lives. The reformed bad girl of Salem had her fetus stolen by Kristen DiMera (Eileen Davidson). Then, the child was rescued, which made Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Theresa instant parents. Next, the child was kidnapped by Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow), but only Victor (John Aniston) and Deimos Kiriakis (Vincent Irizarry) know the truth. Just when Theresa thought she would finally marry the man of her dreams, she ended up getting nearly strangled by Xander, who escaped from prison. To date, he has not been caught and is keeping company with Clyde and Orpheus, who are just as dangerous.

What else could the writers put Theresa through before her exit? That isn’t known, but Patsy Pease and Charles Shaughnessy are reprising their roles of Kim and Shane on Days Of Our Lives. Pease said in an interview that she will be around for approximately 10 episodes. The actress hinted that her return had something to do with a series of “wonderful stories,” so that doesn’t sound too traumatic. However, the co-head writing team did tease that it would be natural for Theresa’s parents to come to Salem when their daughter was in trouble.

Other Days Of Our Lives spoilers include John Black (Drake Hogestyn) getting a call from Orpheus, informing him that someone he loves has been kidnapped. It was teased that the individual is Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan).

On Thursday, expect Aiden Jennings (Daniel Cosgrove) to tell Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) something shocking. That obviously has to do with Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) murder and the recording he has of Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Hope.

By the end of the week, Clyde will shoot someone, which will cause panic throughout Salem. Based on Days Of Our Lives sneak peek photos in Soap Opera Digest, it looks like it might be Abe Carver (James Reynolds). It was stated by the publication that Theo (Kyler Pettis) will vow to get revenge.
