Heather Dubrow Has Secret Vow Renewal With Husband: Why ‘RHOC’ Fans Weren’t Invited

Heather Dubrow is often talking about how happy she is with her husband, Terry Dubrow, and how happy he makes her, even though fans also see the frustrating things he does at times on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Heather loves her husband, but she can get frustrated with his joking ways at times, especially when she’s been working hard on something, such as their massive home.

Throughout her time on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Heather has experienced several vow renewals, whether she attended them or not. So, when David and Shannon Beador renewed their vows recently, fans wondered about Heather and Terry.

According to a new Bravo report, Heather Dubrow is now revealing that she and Terry actually already renewed their vows. Despite being married for many years, they decided to renew their vows in private. And there is a very good reason why Real Housewives of Orange County fans weren’t invited to the ceremony — it happened 15 years ago.

As it turns out, Heather Dubrow and Terry decided to renew their vows after just two years of marriage. It wasn’t so much because of problems with their marriage or cheating like Shannon’s vow renewal. Instead, Terry really wanted to renew their vows before they started having children together. He surprised Heather with the rabbi and cantor after two years of marriage in a private ceremony.

“You can imagine what our wedding was like. It was at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Heather sang a beautiful song [Bonnie Raitt’s cover of ‘Feels Like Home’]. There were a gazillion people there. I felt like I was onstage, and I’m not used to being onstage or on-camera. So I’m not sure I experienced the actual one-on-one moment of our vows, so I wanted to do it again, just Heather and I without anyone else there,” Terry revealed to Personal Space recently when asked about a possible vow renewal.

When he decided to renew their vows, it wasn’t due to his lack of love for Heather Dubrow. Instead, it really came down to him loving her and him wanting to stay with Heather forever instead of using his own parents as role models, as they had gone through a divorce several times. He wanted to do things differently.

“Listen, when we got married, I knew I loved you, I knew I wanted to be married to you, but my two parents were married five times between them. I didn’t really understand marriage, I didn’t understand any of this, and I love you more and more every day. I want to start a family with you. And I want to marry you again but just the two of us,” Terry revealed during the interview, sharing that he wanted to renew their vows before they started having children.

But just because it has been 15 years since Heather Dubrow and Terry renewed their vows, don’t expect them to do it again. As Heather has revealed several times, they are strong in their marriage and wouldn’t need to do it again, especially just for the sake of the cameras.

“So we’ve done it. Will we do it again? No. Unless she gets so mad at me for something stupid I do that I have to do that. And I still wouldn’t do it on television, I don’t think,” Terry revealed during the interview, with Heather Dubrow adding, “What I think was really sweet about it is it was that private moment that was [a] very romantic, sweet thing to do. We cried a lot. It was just really nice.”
