Brad Pitt Desperately Trying To Salvage His Marriage With Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt has not taken Angelina Jolie’s filing for divorce very well and is desperately trying to salvage his marriage before it is too late.

It has been just over one week since Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt. There have been many different reports speculating why the Mr. & Mrs. Smith actress decided to make the move to file for the divorce. Some believe that Pitt may have cheated on her, while others believe that issues with the children may be at the center of the couple’s problems.

According to a report from HollywoodLife, Brad Pitt is desperately trying to get back with Jolie and fix things. He is hoping that Jolie’s father, Jon Voight, may be able to help him. It may be a long shot, but obviously Pitt is willing to do whatever it takes to fix things with his wife.

“Brad [Pitt] has made an effort to make contact and is keen to try and improve the situation between them. He’s hoping his good relationship with Angelina[Jolie]’s family will help to build bridges. He’s spoken to her dad Jon [Voight] and hopes he may be able to play peacemaker. It’s a very tricky time for the family but Brad hasn’t given up hope yet.”

Ever since filing for divorce, Jolie and the couple’s six children have been staying at a house in Malibu that she rented before the drama began. Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne have been at the center of attention since the news of their parents’ divorce.

Whether Jolie’s father can truly help Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie salvage their marriage remains to be seen. As we previously reported here at The Inquisitr, Jolie has already blocked Pitt’s number. She certainly didn’t waste any time cutting lines of communication with her husband.

Voight hasn’t seemed interested in getting in the middle of Pitt and Jolie. He made brief comments to Inside Edition about the divorce.

“It’s very sad. Something very serious must have happened for Angie to make a decision like this. I don’t know what it is. It’s a sad thing. Say a little prayer.”

Brad Pitt has not been taking the divorce well, as it has been reported that he has been “crying his eyes out” since Jolie officially filed.

“Brad can’t help but break down into tears thinking about it. He’s been crying a lot, probably more than he ever has. It’s heartbreaking to see this good man be brought down like this. But no matter how bad he’s hurting, Brad won’t let himself fall to pieces. He will dust himself off and be strong not because he wants to, but because he has to for the kids. Protecting them is all that he cares about.”

George Clooney, a close friend of Brad Pitt, has wanted the couple to salvage their marriage.

“Brad is leaning on George for support right now. George doesn’t want to see this happening,” the insider continued. “He’s been advising Brad to do whatever he can to save the marriage.”

At this point in time, there is no telling whether Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will figure things out and save their marriage. It certainly would be a welcome sight for their diehard fans. Brangelina have been one of the top power couples in the entertainment industry since they first got together following Pitt’s split from Jennifer Aniston.

Pitt certainly sounds motivated to make things work, but it will take a lot to convince Jolie to drop the divorce.
