Ramona Singer On Divorce: Did Mario Want Her To Leave ‘RHONY’ And Move To Florida?

Ramona Singer wanted out of her marriage after she learned that her husband, Mario Singer, had been cheating on her with a much younger woman. Ramona learned about the affair after she walked into her Hamptons home and found him there with his mistress. She also learned about the affair after several photographers captured him holding hands with his mistress on the streets of New York. Mario clearly didn’t care about being caught with his mistress, but Ramona was hurt by his actions.

According to a new Bravo report, Ramona Singer is now revealing that she’s finally divorced from her estranged husband, Mario Singer. Ramona filed for divorce last year and they technically should have been legally divorced a year ago. But there was a technical glitch with the paperwork and the judge was never presented with the paperwork. All of a sudden, Ramona Singer got a call from her lawyer that the paperwork had been signed and she was now a single woman.

“We signed off on a divorce agreement last September. Unfortunately, it took the judge over a year to sign off on it due to paperwork glitches. I found out yesterday from my attorney, who sent it to me along with a keychain that says, ‘The divorce is final,'” Ramona Singer recently told E! News after learning that the judge had finally signed off on their divorce, according to Bravo, adding, “I feel phenomenal. I look better than ever and I’m happier than ever.”

Over the past year, Ramona has started dating to move on from her failed marriage. Her ex-husband was clearly quick to move on from the marriage and she was left devastated and questioning how long she had been fooled for. On previous episodes of The Real Housewives of New York, Mario often talked about cheating and hooking up with other women, and he revealed that it was all about not getting caught. At the time, no one really thought too much about his comments, but he could have been cheating the entire time.

Ramona Singer often questioned why her ex-husband decided to stray from the marriage. Ramona found great success with her business after being on The Real Housewives of New York, and her husband supposedly felt threatened by her success. He may have felt that he didn’t measure up to her success and he felt he needed to be validated elsewhere. Sure, Ramona Singer had found tremendous success with the show and her business, but he should have been supportive of his wife, as they were a team.

But Singer has also revealed that he was ready to move away from New York and settle down in Florida. Of course, many people move to Florida to retire, but Singer wasn’t ready to leave New York behind. As she explains, she’s young at heart and she wanted to continue filming the show with her friends. It would be silly for Ramona to leave The Real Housewives of New York, especially since she uses the platform to market her businesses.

“Most marriages don’t last 20-plus years. Look at Brad [Pitt] and Angelina [Jolie.] [Mario] was a great husband but he wants to retire and live in Florida and I feel young in my mind,” Ramona Singer continued, according to Bravo, adding, “I’m full of life and vitality and I have more energy than a 25-year-old. I’m very excited. I have no idea where this is going but I’m excited.”
