Julia Roberts’ Thriller Gets The Green Light, And See Where She Ranks On The Forbes Highest Paid Celebrities List

Julia Roberts finally got her mystery thriller project financed, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The 48-year-old Pretty Woman actress’s movie adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel Fool Me Once has finally got the green light.

And that green light was signaled by Entertainment One and Tooley Productions, which agreed to finance the upcoming project in which Julia Roberts is also set to star. The two studios will help the actress’s Red Om Films banner to distribute the thriller.

It’s been less than six months since Julia Roberts started developing the Fool Me Once film adaptation after she had acquired the movie rights to the novel. The actress will serve as both the main lead and the producer alongside Tucker Tooley (Limitless, Movie 43, Don Jon, The Fighter), Lisa Gillan, and Marisa Yeres Gill.

The mystery thriller will tell the story of Maya, played by Julia Roberts, a former Special Ops pilot who thinks she saw her daughter playing with her late husband, who was murdered two weeks before the incident.

The film involves lots of mystery and twisted reality, as Julia Roberts’ character begins her journey to find out whether her husband is alive or if she is hallucinating.

Nothing much has changed for Julia Roberts regarding her earnings in Hollywood over the past 10 years, according to Forbes. The actress, who has seen her ups and downs from 2006 to 2016, has managed to move up two positions in Forbes‘ highest-paid actress list.

Forbes has recently compared how various Hollywood stars progressed through their highest-paid actress list over the past 10 years. Julia Roberts, who was placed 10th in 2006 with $8 million, managed to move up to eighth spot in this year’s list.

It was Julia Roberts’ two films, Garry Marshall’s Mother’s Day and Jodie Foster’s Money Monster, that allowed the actress to bank $12 million this year and be placed in the eighth position.

Meanwhile, Julia Roberts’ Mother’s Day co-star, Jennifer Aniston, was the second highest-paid actress on the Forbes list in 2006, banking $18.5 million that year. But this year, her $21 million placed her in the No. 4 spot.

But not every actress who was featured in Forbes‘ top-earning actresses in 2006 still managed to squeeze into this year’s list. Aside from Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts, this year’s list has changed a lot compared to 2006.

For example, Drew Barrymore was the highest-paid actress in 2006 by banking $22 million. But she hasn’t appeared on Forbes‘ lists since 2010. This year, The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence was named the world’s highest-earning actress with $46 million, nearly twice Barrymore’s $22 million in 2006.

Julia Roberts has been making headlines lately with a strange image where she picks her nose, according to the Metro. But it wasn’t the actress herself in that picture, it appears.

It was a makeup expert, Marina Mamic, who put so much makeup on herself she ended up looking exactly like Julia Roberts. Only it was some animated version of the Notting Hill actress.

Those plump lips and upturned nose: Mamic mastered it all to truly look like Julia Roberts. The makeup artist shared the image with her more than 25,000 followers on Instagram and admitted that it had taken her a whopping 12 hours to complete the full makeup.

But it was worth it, as she ended up looking like the near perfect copy of Julia Roberts. Mamic later even noted that the 48-year-old actress herself shared the image via her social media accounts.
