WWE News: Scott Hall Wants To Work For NXT
WWE Hall of Fame superstar Scott Hall has lived a long life with a public battle with alcohol and drugs ending his career and almost killing him. Thankfully, Diamond Dallas Page showed up and saved his life with DDP Yoga and life in a sober house for as long as Hall needed it.
Now that Hall has started to clean his life up, he has gotten back involved in an unofficial capacity with the WWE. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and has made some appearances for the company alongside his best friends Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman. Now, Hall has another goal. In a recent appearance on Legends with JBL, Hall said that he wants to work for NXT.
“My dream job would be to be back in here. But I also realize, hey just getting clean – it needs to be a long series. I think the best thing I can do for me, is to show up places and be clear-headed. Because when I’m clear-headed my phone rings. I get opportunities. And now I can show up and not embarrass myself, or my friends that have been advocating for me.”
Scott Hall also said that he is not where he needs to be yet, but he is happy to say that he is not where he used to be. In a public video released by Diamond Dallas Page, the former WCW star called Hall, with Jake “The Snake” Roberts by his side. When Hall answered the phone, he was drunk and said he had started drinking at breakfast.

Scott Hall also said that he was dying. Page let him know that he needed to make a choice and Hall chose to get help. Scott has been working on his sobriety for a few years now, had surgery to fix his broken body, and seems on the road to recovery.
Sadly, as the Inquisitr previously reported, Scott Hall did have a relapse at an Atlanta airport when a camera phone caught him drunk in a restaurant being belligerent to the bartender. Scott admitted to the relapse after the fact and said that he is still working to get better every day. That has to happen before any chance with the WWE or NXT will occur.

Working in NXT would be huge for the WWE and for Scott Hall. When it comes to the total package, Hall fits that description perfectly. Scott was a great promo guy on the mic, he was a great and smooth wrestler in the ring, and he had all the nuances perfect to look and act like a star in the ring. He could put over others and look like a superstar himself.
NXT has had former wrestlers like William Regal, Dusty Rhodes, Gerald Brisco, Norman Smiley, Lita, Steve Keirn, Terry Taylor, and more all work as teachers for both in-ring and on-the-mic skills. Outside of Dusty Rhodes, who was one of the greatest of all time, Scott Hall is a greater talent than all those listed. He would be invaluable to the WWE when it comes to bringing up future stars, as would someone like Jake “The Snake” Roberts.

However, before Scott Hall can get this chance with the WWE, he needs to not only clean up his life completely but keep it clean. Scott can’t have any more relapses at all. Billy Gunn is proof that the WWE will fire a trainer for anything that happens outside of the WWE when Gunn failed a drug test last year.
Scott Hall would be a perfect trainer in WWE NXT. The question is whether he is well enough mentally to take on that role.
