Gigi Hadid: Haters Are Hating In Milan, But Millions Of People On Social Media Love Her
Gigi Hadid is taking criticism online while in Milan for upstaging the whole Fashion Week because she was attacked. Instead of condemning her attacker, certain elements in a jealous high-fashion culture are agreeing with him. They say it is unfair that Gigi is supposedly getting an unfair advantage with fashion designers because she is popular on social media.
A few are saying it isn’t fair that she gets more attention because she has 23 million followers on Instagram, according to the Guardian. Did it ever occur to those high-fashion girls that she gets the best jobs for the exact same reason she has all those followers? Gigi is smart, capable, and strong. She has a lot of personal magnetism, and she seems like a really nice girl.
Gigi Hadid is likable, relatable, and beautiful. She has a persona that shines through, and she is charismatic. Gigi is the very definition of the word model. The word model is defined as being a representative of something or someone else. A model for women’s clothing is supposed to represent women in general. A model is also defined as an example to follow or imitate.
Gigi Hadid has all those followers on Instagram and Twitter because she is a good representative and example. First, women are able to identify with Miss Hadid. Then, they start looking to her as an example. The reasons why are obvious to everyone except those extremists that have always dominated the fashion industry. Now, they are losing their grip.
Many within the fashion industry refuse to represent most women. Far more than half of all women will not fit into the clothing designers make, and less than 10 percent of women could afford them. Even most of the brands that sell off the rack will fit far less than half of all women. Very few real-life women are being truly served by the fashion industry, in the sense that their clothing fits properly. It isn’t necessarily that these women are obese either. Tall women, muscular women, and curvacious women also don’t fit into the standard sizes.
Gigi, by contrast, has become the ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger. Tommy Hilfiger has a wide range of sizes, including plus sizes. What’s even more impressive? Miss Hadid made sure her Tommy x Gigi line would be comfortable to wear, with cozy soft fabrics. What other designer cares if women are comfortable in their clothes?
Gigi Hadid has a strong athletic body, and she enjoys sports. She refuses to strip down to skin and bones, preferring to keep natural curves and a good bit of muscle. Miss Hadid has an admirable six pack, and women find that easier to relate to than someone who is obviously half-starved. Gigi says she actually eats sometimes, and that is a good thing.
Gigi Hadid provides a great example in her relationship with her boyfriend, Zayn Malik. For those who think she has all those followers because of Zayn’s popularity as a musician, that is nonsense. Most girlfriends of heartthrobs are hated, but everyone loves Gigi. Women admire her for being so sweet to Zayn.

When Gigi Hadid was attacked, she stood up for herself. Then, she had to stand up for herself again on social media when people started to feel sorry for her attacker. She had to explain her own right to defend herself, which signifies there is something seriously wrong with western culture. Everyone has a right to self-defense.
Now, Miss Hadid is being attacked again for supposedly having an unfair advantage. If being sweet, kind, and beautiful enough to attract 23 million followers and becoming popular with ordinary people is an unfair advantage, then why don’t they use social media and see how much attention they get with their jealous attitudes?
Gigi Hadid is adored by 23 million people, and that isn’t an advantage — that is an accomplishment that proves her good character.
