Keith Olbermann Fully Committed To Taking On Donald Trump With New Show
Monday, the first of four Presidential debates between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton is estimated to draw 100-million viewers, according to one report by CNN Money.
The big sell is more over Donald Trump than Hillary, as many anti-Trump supporters are placing their bets that he’s going to fail. Without a doubt, however, similar to why people zero in on most controversial figures is because people are wondering what Donald Trump is going to say next.
Just when everyone thought that he would — once again — be more presidential, Donald Trump went for another assassination threat and this time, it was just the thing that got Keith Olbermann back on his high-horse last week, with a new episode of The Closer where he ripped right into Trump as only Olbermann can.
Mashable wrote about Keith Olbermann’s return to having a show and this time, on a much smaller screen on the internet, where he’s committed to going after Donald Trump, documenting how many times the Republican presidential candidate has done something shocking, resulting in 60-plus pages.
In the article Olbermann talks about what created Donald Trump, where he goes over the years of political figures who contributed to the climate that Trump is currently exploiting.
“It’s really surprising looking, but it’s not a surprise. It’s been coming for a long time. This is Rush Limbaugh. This is Fox News. This is Michele Bachmann. This is all the other people of questionable motives who have no dedication to democracy. Donald Trump has seized this opportunity as they said of [Senator Joseph] McCarthy. He did not create the climate. He exploited it and rather successfully.”
Also @RealDonaldTrump, if you put Ms. Flowers in row one, shouldn't HRC put in 427 women you've cheated with? https://t.co/4rX16syeq6

The article reminds us that Olbermann already went after George W. Bush when he was president, to which he also says that he wished he could vote Bush into a third-term over Donald Trump.
Thus far, Olbermann has been gung-ho about going after Trump in his new series, but while we’re on his recent slam about the statements the billionaire has made about assassination, Olbermann has also gone after Hillary for being just as controversial when she too, ironically made references to political assassination.
Political Blog reported back in 2008, when Keith Olbermann went after Hillary Clinton about invoking political assassination during her run against then Senator Barack Obama.
In the transcript provided, Keith Olbermann seems to go after her with the same energy. Another article published by The New York Daily News from that time gets into more details about her comment.
“My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right?” Clinton said. “We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California.”
Keith Olbermann’s return to for another show and this time for GQ started this month, which puts him at about a year since he’s had his own program since he was let go from ESPN, which Inquisitr reported on.
He’s said before that he’s been wanting to make a come back to cover political events, and this election year no doubt provides Olbermann’s new show plenty of opportunities to do just that.

But with only a few months before Election Day, with Keith Olbermann’s plans to do four to five shows a week; he will certainly be staying super busy cramming in as many issues into his program as he can, as he’s mentioned that there is so much to cover on Donald Trump, it is hard for reporters to keep up.
He does say that he won’t be constrained to run under set time limits, as he does say in his interview that some shows will be as long as they need to, to cover specific issues.
In any case, many agree that Keith Olbermann’s contribution to the political and sports commentary market during a Donald Trump “soaked” year, is very much needed.
