Are Drake & Chris Brown Feuding Over Rihanna?

Chris Brown and Drake are no strangers to a feud or two, but are they now butting heads over Rihanna?

Amid reports that Drake and Rihanna are getting serious after seemingly confirming that they’re dating last month at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, new reports are suggesting that Drake and Chris are once again feuding over the “We Found Love” singer.

Hollywood Life recently alluded to a feud between Brown and Drake, claiming that Chris seemingly blasted Drake as being a “fake a** rapper” on Instagram earlier this month as rumors swirled that he was getting pretty serious with Rihanna, who famously dated Chris on and off for five years before eventually splitting in 2013.

According to the site, Chris uploaded, and then swiftly deleted, a post seemingly aimed at Drake in which he praised Lil Wayne.

“Supported my favorite rapper last night IN NEW ORLEANS BIG BRO FOR LIFE,” Chris allegedly wrote alongside a photo of himself and the rapper. “If it wasn’t for [Lil Wayne] a lot of these fake a** rappers wouldn’t get an opportunity.”

The site was quick to accuse Chris of blasting Drake as one of said “fake a** rappers,” to which Hollywood Life claimed Drake then hit back at Brown with an image posted to his own social media account.

Also taking to Instagram to praise Lil Wayne, Drake captioned his photo, “The boss [Lil Wayne]. We are fighting until you get yours. Freedom to drop music and peace of mind.”

“I don’t know what these other weirdos are on with all the side talks but I know you gave me a shot and all I can ever do with the rest of my life is return the favour,” Drake continued, which got fans speculating that his and Brown’s feud could well have been reignited.

While Drake didn’t explicitly mention Rihanna’s ex in the caption, fans were quick to accuse the star of putting Brown on blast, suggesting that he was one of the “weirdos” the rapper was referring to.

Notably, Chris Brown and Drake haven’t exactly been shy when it comes to an alleged feud in the past, as the “Hotline Bling” rapper who was first linked to Rihanna way back in in 2010, even alluded to drama with Brown over the singer in a 2013 interview with GQ.

“Two rappers fighting over a woman—he’s not even a rapper, but still,” Drake said of his drama with Brown over Rihanna. “It’s the last way you want your name out there. It distracts from the music,” he continued of his beef with Chris.

But while Drake and Chris appeared to bury the hatchet in the years that followed their alleged feud, has their drama really spilled over again?

After being accused of reignited their feud on Instagram amid reports Drake and Rihanna are dating and getting serious, Brown shot down the drama reports and claimed that fans accusing him of putting the rapper on blast were “making an issue out of nothing.”

“Y’all comments be funny,” Chris reportedly hit back on Instagram, according to a screen shot of his comment captured by Baller Alert, slamming social media users for “making an issue outta nothing” when it comes to his relationship with Drake.

“Everybody know I don’t have any issues @ing someone I had an issue with,” Brown continued amid the feud report. “My post was for hip-hop. Stay classy.”

Brown’s denial also came amid reports claiming that Chris actually isn’t looking to reconcile with Rihanna, as Urban Islandz revealed that Chris now knows that a relationship with the “This Is What You Came For” singer will never work.

“I guess you can say that she was much more intense because she loves him and wanted the relationship to work,” an insider recently told the site of why Brown knows that his past relationship with Rihanna fizzled as she continues to grow close to Drake.

“[Chris] gets the feeling like she wanted marriage kids and all that other stuff,” the source continued of Brown and Rihanna’s on/off romance, “but he felt like he was too young for that.”

But despite recent reports suggesting that Chris could be looking for a reconciliation, which is why he allegedly wasn’t so thrilled about Rihanna and Drake dating, the source added that Brown has now “moved on.”

“Maybe if it was now things would have been different,” the site’s Brown source alleged, “but they have both now moved on and [are] doing their separate thing.”
