After last week’s much-panned performance on NBC’s Today show, Corey Feldman says that he will return to the show for a re-do, reports Fox News .
“I don’t want to rush it,” said Feldman. “I want it to be better than the last one. I want to make sure each performance is better and that people see it that way. This is not a game to me. It’s not a joke.”
Feldman appeared on the Today show as part of the show’s concert series dressed in all black and shrouded with a hood while his all-girl band was decked out in white and angelic halos. He explained to the host of the show that the theme of his new album, Angelic 2 the Core : Angelic Funkadelic / Angelic Rockadelic , was all about heaven vs. hell and pointed out that the cover of the album showed him being pulled out of a fiery pit by a pair of sexy angels.
When asked why he chose this theme, Feldman said, “Well, probably because I know that angels probably saved me once or twice in my life and I like helping them as well. That’s why I created Corey’s Angels as a way to help girls who are like kind of lost and needed to find their way too – to get their opportunities, their dreams and make them realities and that’s what we do, we try to help them make their realities you know their dreams.”
Corey then began his performance of “Go 4 It” with some odd dance moves, which probably started much of the social media backlash.
While digesting the negativity, Feldman posted a tear-filled response to the haters on Facebook Life, stating that he’s “never had such mean things said about me.” The video was later deleted. Since the performance, Feldman has received a lot of support from other performers, including Pink, Kesha, and Miley Cyrus among others.

In today’s news, Feldman said that he took some time on his knees praying to God about the incident at stated, “At the end of the day, all I ask is that I’m not making a fool of myself. If it wasn’t God’s will for me to continue performing, then I would just stop, but I think the fact that we did turn on so many new fans and gained supporters is amazing.”
Last week, the Inquisitr reported that after Feldman’s performance, his album rose three spots on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 Indicator from 35 to 32, its seventh week on the chart. In addition, the single also spent six to seven weeks on the CashBox Magazine, Record World & Digital Radio Tracker Independent national Top 100 charts starting on July 16.

This is the former child actor’s fifth album and Feldman says that he is looking to do a world tour and looking for some backers for the project as well.
“We want to be able to do everything I have in mind, as far as the creative elements go,” said Feldman. “If we’re performing in smaller venues, we won’t be able to have back-up dancers, projections, lasers and that kind of thing.”
When asked if Corey would be interested in appearing as a contestant on The Voice , he said, “At the end of the day, I’m not the kind of person who likes to put myself up for public ridicule. Obviously, I don’t handle it very well, so I don’t think I would be good in that forum.”
