Ann Romney To Co-Host ‘Good Morning America’

Ann Romney will co-host Good Morning America on October 10.

If you’re not a fan of the GOP presidential hopeful’s wife, relax. Ann is merely filling in for a day, one of many celebrities including the cast of Modern Family, Stephen Colbert, and Jessica Simpson, who are temporarily filling the empty chair left by host Robin Roberts as she deals with some major health issues following her cancer surgery.

Per Deadline, Romney will be appearing on Good Morning America on October 10. She’s made several guest appearances on shows like Today and The Tonight Show, but this will be the first time she has ever appeared as an anchor, notes CinemaBlend.

Good Morning America producers have been chasing an Ann Romney booking since last summer. The spot gives Ann a small win over Michelle Obama, who has also been courted for an appearance. Michelle is willing to appear on the show, but, thus far, scheduling has proven difficult, notes Zap2it.

The wife of the GOP presidential candidate will host Good Morning America alongside George Stephanopoulos for the show’s second hour at 8 am. Due to increased security measures, Ann will not be standing in the crowd outside of GMAs Time Square Studio during her appearance.

More Good Morning America news: CNN reports that regular host Robin Roberts is “recuperating nicely” after her bone marrow transplant. She was diagnosed in June with myelodysplastic syndrome, or MDS, and has been on medical leave since late August. She battled breast cancer five years ago.

Will you be tuning in to Good Morning America to catch Ann Romney’s stint?
