Gigi Hadid In Milan: Manhandled By Stranger And Sets Great Example For Women
Gigi Hadid is in Milan this week and she’s working hard on the runways around Europe, as she’s modeling for some of the biggest names in the fashion industry. And while Gigi has found great success on the runway, it sounds like she’s created quite the fan base wherever she goes.
It’s no secret that Hadid may need extra security when she spends time in big cities, but this girl knows how to take care of herself. And Gigi proved that this week, as she fought off a crazed fan who decided it would be a good idea to pick her up.
According to a new Tweet, Gigi Hadid is now defending herself after she elbowed a man in the face. Some news outlets are reporting that Hadid got very aggressive with a fan as if to share that she doesn’t appreciate her fans at all. But that wasn’t the case in Milan this week.

Gigi Hadid was simply picked up by a random man, who thought it would be funny to do so. No word on whether he was indeed a fan, but Hadid defended herself as she never asked to get manhandled by someone. Sadly, the recent headlines are making it seem like Gigi attacked a fan when she was indeed just defending herself. The man could have attacked her or even hurt her. She didn’t know and she simply defended herself, like every woman should.
“THANK YOU Rachel. To unknown article writer: fan?!!! The ACTUAL fans that were there can tell you what happened. I’m a HUMAN BEING — and had EVERY RIGHT to defend myself. How dare that idiot thinks he has the right to man-handle a complete stranger. He ran quick tho,” Gigi Hadid revealed on Twitter, sharing her side of the story.

Rachel, who Gigi is referring to in the tweet, shared a screenshot of an article title that didn’t really sit in Hadid’s favor. It really made Gigi seem very rude and not very thankful for her fans, who came out to see her. And that isn’t Hadid at all. In fact, Gigi Hadid is one of the most thankful models, as she is constantly thanking her fans for their support and she’s often tweeting directly with fans who make an effort to go above and beyond in supporting her in her modeling career.

Hadid reveals that the man quickly ran after she elbowed him in the face. No word on whether security chased after him, but Gigi Hadid was quickly rushed to the car. It’s awesome to see that Gigi can take care of herself, as security may not have been quick enough to come to her rescue. She elbowed the man in his face herself and he let go. He probably wasn’t expecting Gigi Hadid to have quite the punch, but when adrenaline is pumping and one doesn’t know what is going on, one can imagine she had all the power she needed.

Is this model behavior as the article points out? That’s not even a topic worth discussing. What is worth discussing is how Hadid just set an excellent example for women, who are groped, manhandled, or touched inappropriately by men. Is violence the answer? Not always, but in this case, Gigi had no idea who the man was or what he was planning on doing.
Given the recent shooting of Christina Grimmie, it makes sense that Gigi would be skeptical of a man rushing at her in a sea full of fans. Grimmie was shot by Kevin James Loibl while she was signing autographs for fans in Orlando, Florida.
What do you think of the way Gigi Hadid handled herself in Milan? Do you think she should be celebrated?
