‘Modern Family’ Steve Levitan Divorce Update: Estranged Wife, Krista Levitan Denied Restraining Order Again
Steve Levitan, the creator of Modern Family, the hit ABC sitcom, is in the middle of a divorce from his estranged wife, Krista Levitan, who for the second time, sought a restraining order from the Los Angeles court and for the second time was denied. Krista Levitan does not want Steve Levitan anywhere near the family home and was particularly irked that this weekend. Steve Levitan came to the home to pick the couple’s adult daughter Hannah when the latest conflict kicked off.
Considering that the conflicts on his show Modern Family are fairly tame (nobody is calling the police), Steve Levitan, the show creator is currently in uncharted territory right now with a divorce from his estranged wife Krista Levitan. From the point of view of Steve Levitan, Krista’s “scorched earth” tactics seem over the top as according to Levitan, there is more than enough money to go around. But Krista Levitan has insisted that her soon to be ex has been abusive, leading her to seek a restraining order, but so far, the court has not legitimized these claims with a restraining order according to The Inquisitr.

The latest conflict started when Steve Levitan of Modern Family asked the couple’s daughter Hannah to come home from college to be his plus one for Sunday night’s Emmy Awards ceremony says TMZ. Levitan, who is said to gross $2.4 million a month has moved out of the family home, and estranged wife Krista want him to stay away.
According to Modern Family’s Levitan, he went by the family home to pick up daughter Hannah, home from college, in order to take her for a drink. Levitan says that he was outside of the home on a public sidewalk when Hannah approached to hug him. He was then approached by a “burly” security guard who had been watching Levitan.
“Can I help you with something?”

To which Levitan responded, “No.” Levitan later explained that he is sick of being treated like a criminal any time he needs to pick up the kids or anything from his former residence. In response to the weekend meeting with Krista Levitan’s security guard, she was out of town for the weekend, Krista went to court to once again to attempt to get a restraining order to keep Steve Levitan at least one hundred yards away from the family home.
For the second time, the judge denied the request of the estranged Mrs. Levitan and said no to the restraining order.

Steve Levitan continues to be puzzled as to why the dissolution of their marriage is so difficult, says The Daily Mail. Levitan, 54, has made it clear that there is enough money for everyone to walk away with a nice chunk of change, and considering that there is no prenup, California law dictates a fairly even division of assets.
But Steve Levitan says that he was understandably upset when his soon to be ex-wife Krista’s Brentwood security guard put a damper on what should have been a special weekend for their daughter Hannah Levitan, as she was supposed to attend the Emmy Awards festivities with her father, the creator of Modern Family.

The Modern Family character of Claire Dunphy, played by Julie Bowen, is said to be inspired by Krista Levitan. Steve Levitan has mentioned that the episode where Claire cannot operate the master remote was based on an argument that happened in the Levitan home.
“My wife cannot operate a remote control to save her life, and one day I came home and a brand-new remote was in a thousand pieces by the front door. That’s one of many stories that I’ve jut plucked from my life.”
It seems that the wrangling between the Levitan’s is far from over.
Do you think the judge should have given Krista Levitan a restraining order against her Modern Family creator husband?
