Native American Hopi Prophecy Of Asteroid Apocalypse Sparks End-Of-World Fears After Eight Previous Prophecies Proved True

The Native American Hopi tribe predicted eight global events accurately. They also predicted that the present world — the Fourth World — will be wiped out by a catastrophic asteroid impact event and that from the ruins of global destruction will emerge a post-apocalyptic New Age — the Fifth World.

Following the accurate fulfillment of eight previous prophecies of the Hopi ancestors, there are growing fears among believers and students of the Hopi prophecies that the fulfillment of the ninth and final prophecy is inevitable and imminent.

According to tribal traditions, three previous worlds ended catastrophically. We are now living in the Fourth World, or Fourth Dispensation, that is also prophesied to end catastrophically.

The first white man to learn about the nine prophecies of the Hopi ancestors was a Christian minister Reverend David Young, who met a Hopi elder called White Feather in 1958.

According to Frank Walters, in his 1963 Book of the Hopi, Young met White Feather, an elder of the Hopi, while driving on a deserted stretch of road in the summer of 1958. He stopped and offered White Feather a ride.

After a brief silence, the elderly Hopi introduced himself as “White Feather, a Hopi of the ancient Bear Clan.”

As they conversed, White Feather told Young that he was old and dying. He lamented that the Hopi had abandoned the traditions of their ancestors and that the younger generation were unwilling to learn the ways and wisdom of their forebears, including the nine prophecies of the Hopi elders.

White Feather told Young about the nine Hopi prophecies, seven of which had been fulfilled at the time. According to White Feather, the Hopi ancestors had predicted the arrival of the white man.

“We are told of the coming of the white man, who looks like Pahana, but does not live like Pahana… and kills his enemies with thunder.”

“Thunder” was supposedly a reference to guns.

The ancestors, according to White Feather, also predicted that “our lands will see the coming of spinning wheels filled with voices,” allegedly a reference to white settlers traveling across the prairies in wagons with their families and conquering America.

The Hopi ancestors, according to White Feather, also predicted the coming of a “strange beast like a buffalo but with great long horns that will overrun the land in large numbers,” allegedly a reference to grazing cattle introduced in great numbers by European invaders, Express reports.

The fourth prophecy of the elders was that “the land will be crossed by snakes of iron,” believed to be a reference to railroad tracks that white settlers laid across the North American continent.

According to the fifth prediction, the “land will be crisscrossed by a giant spider’s web.” This is believed to be a reference to electric power, telephone lines, and finally the internet.

The sixth prediction was that the land shall be “crisscrossed with rivers of stone that make pictures in the sun.” This is believed to be a reference to modern roads that carry automobile traffic.

According to students of the Hopi prophecies, the sixth prediction had been fulfilled at the time that Young met White Feather in 1958. But the fulfillment of the seventh prophecy was still in the future.

Students of the Hopi prophecies claim that the seventh prediction that said, “You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it,” was fulfilled in 2010 by the Gulf Oil Spill.

The eight prediction that “you will see many youth, who wear their hair long like my people, come and join the tribal nations, to learn their ways and wisdom,” was fulfilled in the counter-culture or “Hippie Movement” of the 1960s and 1970s, but a future fulfillment is still possible.

Then comes the final ninth prediction believed to pertain entirely to the future. Many believe fearfully that the prophecy refers to a future catastrophic asteroid or comet impact event.

“You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the Earth that shall fall with a great crash,” the dreaded ninth prophecy says.

“It [‘the dwelling-place in the heavens’] will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.”

Although, it seems clear that the prophecy refers to a space rock that will crash to Earth and cause a global catastrophe, some have challenged the interpretation and proposed alternative interpretations.

The first suggestion was that it could refer to the Chinese Tiangong-1 satellite expected to crash to Earth in the near future, according to Geek.

Some believe firmly that the prophecy is a reference to the Chinese space satellite because the name “Tiangong” means “heavenly palace,” apparently mentioned in the prophecy as the “dwelling-place in the heavens above the Earth.”

But some claim that the prophecy was fulfilled when NASA’s space station Skylab crashed to Earth on July 11, 1979, according to History.

However, the claim that it refers to a massive space rock that will crash to Earth in the near future is more widely accepted, based on the details of the prophecy that speaks of a “great destruction coming.”

“These are the signs that great destruction is coming,” the prophecy says. “The world shall rock to and fro. The white man will battle against other people in other lands — with those who possessed the first light of wisdom. There will be many columns of smoke and fire.”

The old man also told Young about the prophesied coming of Pahana, “the lost White Brother from the stars” who looks like the white man but is not the same as the white man because he would not “be as greedy and cruel as the white man.”

Many Christians believe that this is a reference to the second coming of Jesus.

Pahana would come at the close of the Fourth World and herald the dawn of the Fifth World in the post-apocalyptic era after the Great Destruction, according to the ninth prophecy.

“Pahana will return. He shall bring with him the dawn of the Fifth World,” the old man said. “He shall plant the seeds of his wisdom in their hearts. Even now the seeds are being planted. These shall smooth the way to the emergence into the Fifth World.”

“But White Feather shall not see it [the coming of Pahana]. I am old and dying. Perhaps you will see it…”

He told Young that all the Hopi elders know about the prophecies and were awaiting fulfillment of the ninth prophecy and the coming of Pahana.

Believers have debated the source of the prophecies, with some suggesting the predictions may have been revealed to the Hopi ancestors by time-traveling aliens depicted in certain Hopi cave drawings as the “ant people.”

Believers say that the “ant people” were, in fact, extraterrestrial beings that visited the Hopi ancestors in the distant past and helped them migrate across land bridges into the New World.
