Tamar Braxton Makes Instagram Private Amid Drama With Monica, ‘The Real’ Co-Hosts
Tamar Braxton has made her Instagram account private following her recent social media drama and reported feud with Monica and Toya Wright.
Tamar set her Instagram account to private after making headlines for allegedly unfollowing her former friends Monica and Toya after both appeared on Season 3 of The Real earlier this month.
Braxton’s Instagram account is now unavailable to everyone besides her 2.5 million followers, while the Braxton Family Values star’s description on the social media site now reads “But if I’m STILL here then #SHEWON.”
It’s not clear if Tamar’s description is referring to her recent drama with The Real after Tamar officially announced The Tamar Braxton Show ahead of the Season 3 premiere. Braxton has not spoken out about her decision to make her account private, though she did take to the social media site to promote sister Toni Braxton’s upcoming tour on September 19.

Braxton’s decision to make her Instagram private comes just days after the singer and reality star was blasted as being petty by Fameolous after the site reported that Tamar clicked the unfollow button on the photo sharing site for both Monica and Toya.
Tamar has not officially spoken out about why she opted to unfollow her friends, though Fameolous speculated that Braxton rid her Instagram of the twosome as soon as she learned that both would be appearing on The Real during the Season 3 premiere week, just months after she was sensationally fired from the daytime talk show.
As viewers saw, Monica was on hand at The Real for the Season 3 premiere on September 13, while Toya chatted with Braxton’s former co-hosts Loni Love, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Adrienne Bailon, and Jeannie Mai on the talk show two days later on September 14.
“Is Tamar bitter?” the site asked of Braxton amid reports of a feud. “She unfollows anyone who associates with The Real talk show.”
But while Tamar has so far stayed tight-lipped on her decision to set her Instagram account to private, this isn’t the first time Braxton has hit the headlines for her activity on the social media site.
Earlier this year, Braxton used social media to appear to allude to drama between herself and her former co-hosts of The Real, referring to Adrienne, Jeannie, Tamera and Loni as being “phony b*****s” just weeks after it was announced that she would not be returning for The Real’s recently-debuted third season.
At the time, Tamar commented on a fan’s meme that showed Braxton sitting with her former co-hosts on the Real set while the caption read, “when you in a room full of phony b*****s, it’s best to distance yourself.”
Tamar then alluded to drama between herself and her former friends and co-stars, commenting on the fan’s upload, “Pretty much,” which got feud rumors swirling around the formally close friends.
Braxton also used the social media site to make it known that she would not be heading back to The Real, claiming back in May that she had been “stabbed in the back” by someone assumed to be associated with the series.
“I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted,” Tamar captioned a photo of herself and her sister on Instagram that since appears to have been taken down, confirming that the person who betrayed her was not her husband Vince Herbert or her sisters.
“I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch and it’s not in good taste to tell you who… but as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own,” Tamar told her fans, before seriously calling out the unnamed person.
“Know that everyone who smiles in your face is NOT your friend and is NOT cheering for you and will LIE and try and tear u down to TRY and dim your light,” Tamar continued.
Braxton has since confirmed that she’s no longer speaking to her former Real co-stars, accusing them of using her for publicity. BET reported that Tamar also claimed that Tamera and Adrienne only attended her son’s birthday party earlier this year to “save their a***s” amid reports of a feud.
