Are Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Getting Married Soon? ‘The Voice’ Producer Mark Burnett Wants An Invite

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are facing rumors of a future wedding, and in a new interview, their producer on The Voice is speaking out about the possibility.

Following the Emmy Awards on Sunday night, Voice producer Mark Burnett addressed the romance of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, which began on the set of Season 9.

“I’m really hoping that I get invited to the wedding,” Burnett told reporters in the press room, according to a report by People Magazine of September 19.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton started dating at the end of last year as they filmed The Voice Season 9. At the time, both parties had just split from their former spouses, Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert.

“On a very serious note, people go through peaks and valleys, lights and dark times in their lives, and you always have to look ahead to the lights in the journey,” Burnett continued. “So in the case of Blake and [Gwen Stefani], both have had some dark times, emotionally in their relationships.”

In November of last year, months after Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale announced that their marriage had come to an end after 13 years and three kids, an Us Weekly source claimed Stefani had caught Rossdale cheating with their former nanny, Mindy Mann. According to the report, Rossdale and Mann were involved in a years-long affair, which allegedly overlapped with Gwen Stefani’s third pregnancy.

Although Gwen Stefani surely went through intense heartache due to the shocking betrayal, she ultimately found love again with Shelton. Mark Burnett and the staff of The Voice are thrilled to see how far they’ve come.

“I had no idea by coming to work on a fun music show they would find the loves of their life, and the light exploded and they are happier than you can imagine. We are all thrilled to be their friends and see the happiness,” he said.

As for Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s future, it’s hard to say for sure if and when they will wed, but according to several recent reports, a wedding could be coming soon.

“They are not engaged yet,” a source close to Gwen Stefani told People Magazine last month. “Everyone is expecting it to happen at some point, though.”

Last week, a source spoke to Us Weekly, claiming that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were hoping to be married by the end of the year.

“They want to get married before the end of the year,” a source told the magazine.

“They are both very, very happy,” added a Shelton insider. “Blake is having the time of his life with Gwen and feels so comfortable around her.”

As for the type of wedding the couple was hoping for, another source claimed neither one of them was on board with an over-the-top event. Instead, the source explained, they want something more low-key.

“[Gwen Stefani] has said they both want something more low-key than their first weddings,” the source previously told Us Weekly. “It would likely be at Blake’s ranch [in Oklahoma] or in the backyard. Gwen doesn’t really care, she is just in love with Blake and their life together.”

Although Gwen Stefani has appeared on a couple of seasons of The Voice, she did not film for the currently airing 11th season of the show, which airs every Monday night at 8 p.m. on NBC.
