WWE News: Roman Reigns Wants In ‘WWE Monday Night Raw’ Main Event
Even when Roman Reigns is not involved in the world championship scene, it seems the WWE is keeping him involved in the main event scene. A perfect example will come on WWE Monday Night Raw tonight when United States champion Rusev will battle Seth Rollins in a non-title match on the main event of Raw.
The reason for the match is because Roman Reigns fought Kevin Owens last week for a chance to get into the main event world title match at Clash of Champions. First, Seth Rollins interfered and caused Roman Reigns to lose by disqualification. When Mick Foley restarted the match, Rusev ran in and caused Roman Reigns to lose. This week, Rusev and Seth Rollins will fight as punishment for interfering last week, and Roman Reigns took his threat to Twitter.
#TheGuy doesn't wait for answers. #Raw starts on my terms and doesn't end well for @RusevBUL and the loudmouth blondie with him. #AhhYessir

Here is a look at the WWE Monday Night Raw main event from last week between Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns. In the video, Seth Rollins attacks Kevin Owens, and then it ends with Rusev beating down Roman Reigns. Even when Roman Reigns is not in a world title match, this could be the second week in a row that he is in the main event on WWE Monday Night Raw.
Two years ago, Roman Reigns was supposed to be the next big face in the WWE. However, fans turned on him because it looked like the WWE was forcing him into the world title scene when they wanted others, originally Daniel Bryan and later Dean Ambrose, and finally Finn Balor.
While Roman Reigns has the great look that the WWE likes and puts on great matches against a variety of wrestlers, many fans don’t seem to care and continue to boo him no matter what he does. It seems like the WWE wants to keep Roman Reigns out of the world title scene but are not willing to give up on him as a main event player.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the WWE had no intentions of keeping Roman Reigns out of the main event scene after SummerSlam. Reigns immediately got a chance to wrestle for the WWE Universal Championship but lost when Triple H interfered.
Seth Rollins got the WWE Universal Championship match against Kevin Owens at Clash of Champions, but Roman Reigns got the chance to get into the match last week. Regardless of being pushed down to the U.S. title feud for one PPV after his suspension, Roman Reigns continues to remain in the main event storylines.

Much like John Cena, Roman Reigns gets a lot of cheers and has a large fan base, mostly with women and kids, although there are still men who like him as well. However, the vocal majority comes from fans who are determined to boo him no matter what he does. Even a heel turn, which is not out of the question, might not help him.
What really doesn’t help is the WWE continuing to put him in the main event matches. It seems like every week, Roman Reigns is in the main event picture on WWE Monday Night Raw. This hurts the current champion Kevin Owens and does not help Roman Reigns’ when it comes to the fans who boo him.

WWE Monday Night Raw kicks off at 8 p.m. EST on the USA Network. Seth Rollins and Rusev battle in the main event and it looks like the match will lead to Roman Reigns running in, possibly setting up another match between the two for the U.S. title at Clash of Champions.
