Melissa Gorga Denies Dropping Kathy Wakile And Rosie Pierri In Favor Of Teresa Giudice

Did Melissa Gorga ditch Kathy Wakile and Rosie Pierri when she repaired her relationship with Teresa Giudice? On Sunday night, after the latest episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey aired, Melissa appeared on Andy Cohen’s talk show Watch What Happens Live (WWHL). During her appearance, a viewer called in and accused Melissa of dropping Kathy and Rosie like a box of rocks in favor of Teresa.

The viewer said that Melissa loved Kathy and Rosie on the previous seasons when they defended her during her feud with Teresa, but now that she’s on good terms with Teresa, she no longer has a relationship with Kathy and Rosie. Melissa denied that she cut Kathy and Rosie off. Melissa, whose husband, Joe Gorga, is Kathy and Rosie’s cousin and Teresa’s brother, said that it was actually Kathy and Rosie who stopped communicating with her first but that regardless, they’re still family to her.

“Where do you get that I’m dropping her for a box of rocks? Is that what she said? You know what, I haven’t dropped them. We have grown apart, I’m not going to lie about that. Um, they actually stopped calling, to start that off. Um, I don’t know. Sometimes people just grow apart and we didn’t have a big fight. I love them very much, they’re like family, they are family to us.”

Melissa added that the drama between Teresa and her cousins goes back further than even before she was on the scene, referencing the estranged relationship between Kathy and Rosie’s mother and Teresa’s father.

“I feel like what goes on between them and Teresa though runs deep. It goes down the line, like before I was even around. Generations.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Melissa said on her previous WWHL appearance that the drama between Teresa and her cousins runs through the family.

“You know, I don’t know. I think it’s something you have to ask her. I know it runs through the veins of the family and things that were said bothered her.”

Co-star Siggy Flicker commented during her own recent WWHL appearance that there’s bitterness between Teresa’s father and Kathy and Rosie’s mother.

In her latest blog, Melissa reiterated that it was Kathy and her husband who pulled away first. Melissa also reminded people that it wasn’t for her husband Joe, Teresa wouldn’t have met with her cousins.

“Our issue with Kathy and Richie is that they are the ones that pulled away from Joe and I, waaay before Teresa went away, and I’m still not even sure why. Now, they all of sudden are ready to come back around and are annoyed that we aren’t dropping everything to make time for them. Even though we hadn’t heard from them in a long time, we still supported them, checked in to make sure Victoria was okay and came to see their new beautiful home… When people said we weren’t supporting Kathy and Rosie, I think that’s unfair. If it wasn’t for Joe, Teresa would have never even sat down with her cousins.”

Melissa explained that Teresa doesn’t feel that Kathy and Rosie are genuine in wanting to reconnect and that she can see why, pointing out that neither reached out to her during her prison sentence.

On Sunday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, things came to a head between Teresa Giudice and her cousins Kathy Wakile and Rosie Pierri. Teresa, accompanied by her brother Joe Gorga, met up with Kathy and Rosie after they asked her at her book signing to meet with them to discuss their issues with one another and possibly move on. While Teresa was clearly not excited to see her cousins at her book signing and didn’t want to meet with them, she eventually decided to go with Joe.

At the meeting, Teresa made it clear that she didn’t want a relationship with Kathy and Rosie. Teresa even seemingly compared them to cancer.

“I want to cut the cancer out, really,” Teresa said.

“Well, we’re not cancer, I can tell you that. We’re not,” Kathy replied.

Rosie expressed hurt that Teresa wanted to close the door.

“So you’re saying that you don’t want to ever hang out and laugh and hug and be a family ever again? Your answer to me right now is no, is that what you’re saying? You don’t want a relationship with me? Look at me. I’m not going to beg anymore Teresa. We’re an embarrassment to our parents, both our parents.”

Teresa, who has accused Kathy and Rosie, and also their mom, of talking ill of her, said that her heart has hardened and asked Kathy and Rosie to respect that. Teresa told Rosie that she doesn’t want her to beg for a relationship.

“I don’t know what to say guys. I just wish you guys all the best. I mean, come on, we’re still cousins, we’re still blood you know. You guys ever need anything, my door’s always open.”

Joe, who stayed silent for most of the meeting, commented that time mends all. Kathy said that if Teresa ever needs anything from her and Rosie, their doors are always open as well.

Everyone kissed and hugged one another.

“Love you, honey,” they said to each other.

As Teresa and Joe walked to their car, Teresa started crying. Joe pleaded with her to stop crying. Once in the car, Teresa sobbed that she’s “just tired of s**t” and that the meeting was exhausting. Joe commented that it was sad.

In her confessional interview, Teresa admitted that she doesn’t want anything else to do with Kathy and Rosie.

“I’m glad that we got closure. And I was trying to be nice so I said, ‘If you ever need anything, my door’s always open,’ but they understand what I meant. I’m done! I’ve just reached my breaking point. I’ve had enough.”

As the episode aired, both Kathy and Rosie took to social media to share their thoughts on the family drama. Rosie tweeted that she has forgiven Teresa and Joe.

Rosie defended her mother, whom Teresa still faults for saying in the previous season that when someone does something wrong they have to take responsibility for it, in reference to Teresa’s prison sentence for fraud. Rosie said that her mother didn’t bash Teresa but just said a general statement.

Rosie also tweeted a clip of a scene from a previous season that shows Teresa and her husband, Joe Giudice, fighting with her brother and Melissa.

“Selective memories,” Rosie commented, seemingly in reference to the fact that Teresa has forgiven her brother and Melissa despite the very intense fighting that happened between them but refuses to forgive Kathy and Rosie for supposedly saying bad things about her.

Kathy thanked her fans for their support and love.

Kathy added that she’s humbled by all the kindness.

In response to one viewer who questioned why Kathy and Rosie aren’t full-time cast members this season, Kathy said that it’s all good.

Kathy also publicly defended her mother as the sweetest, kindest, and strongest person she knows.

Kathy also gave a public declaration of love for her husband, Rich Wakile. Kathy called Rich her strongest protector and supporter.

Kathy’s Instagram photo of Rich may have been her way of defending him from his critics. On Sunday night’s episode, prior to her meeting with Teresa, Kathy and Rich had a gathering with Joe and Melissa. When the talk turned to Teresa’s refusal to mend things with Kathy and Rosie, Rich implied that it’s because of Teresa’s jealousy that Kathy has a husband who loves her and a good family.

“I know what it is. You know what it is? This is what it is, right here [kisses Kathy]. I’ve loved her for 25 years f**king years. I’m a happy f**king married guy with a beautiful f**king family, that’s what it is.”

Joe and Melissa Gorga immediately called Rich out for pretty much saying that Teresa doesn’t have a husband who loves her and a beautiful family. Melissa called it “a d**k thing to say.” Joe pointed out that it’s because of Rich saying things like that that Teresa doesn’t want a relationship with him and Kathy.

Will the drama between Teresa Giudice and Kathy Wakile and Rosie Pierri continue on The Real Housewives of New Jersey? Perhaps Kathy and Rosie will show up at The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 7 reunion show? If they do, Teresa may just walk off the stage like she did on the previous season’s reunion show.
