Bruce Willis and Spartacus star Jai Courtney are equipped with automatic weaponry in the latest image from Good Day To Die Die . According to Cinema Blend , the John Moore-directed sequel won’t see the dim light of a darkened theater until February of next year. However, in order to get internet tongues wagging, the promotional photo you see embedded beneath this article has been made available to the masses.
In the latest installment of the long-running franchise, Bruce Willis once again stars as weathered cop John McClane. This time around, the man who has survived a million deaths is headed to Russia, where he will join up with his son (Courtney) to square offer against a bevy of international villains.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly , Jai Courtney discussed Bruce Willis’ character in the latest Die Hard effort. According to Courtney, the next installment will once again find McClane struggling against an action-packed “fish out of water” scenario.
“That’s the thing about the Die Hard franchise, John’s always a fish out of water. What could be further out of water for him than Russia?” the Spartacus star explained.
Regarding McClane’s relationship with his son, Jai said, “The relationship isn’t always functional. These are two guys who have been estranged for some time. John likes to wing it, see what happens. Jack’s more of a strategist.”
However, when it came time to touch upon the villains in A Good Day to Die Hard , Courtney explained that he couldn’t properly discussed McClane and son’s adversaries without giving anything anyway. This has led many to believe that the bad guys could be somehow connected to the Gruber clan, a family that was featured in the original Die Hard and Die Hard with a Vengeance .
