‘Moonlight Drawn By Clouds’ Park Bo Gum Describes His Ideal Girlfriend In Interview — Is He Talking About His Co-Star, Kim Yoo Jung?

Moonlight Drawn By Clouds actor Park Bo Gum recently gave an interview to Elle Korea where he describes what his ideal girlfriend would be like, and it sounds like he could be talking about his K-drama co-star, Kim Yoo Jung.

“I think I like those who feel comfortable like a friend and also take good care of me like a mother,” Park told Elle Korea as reported by Soompi.

Korean drama fans have noticed the great onscreen chemistry between Park Bo Gum and his co-star, Kim Yoo Jung. As Inquisitr previously reported, the two looked very friendly when they filmed a video thanking fans for their support of the show.

Moonlight Drawn By Clouds’ Episode 7 recently got to 20 percent of audience viewership in their time-slot, which has some critics wondering if the show will overtake the popularity of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo’s Descendants Of The Sun, the Yonhap News Agency reports.

The period drama definitely looks like it’s becoming a a runaway hit. Moonlight’s competitors, Monster and Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, garnered 10.6 percent and 5.7 percent of viewers that week, according to Yonhap.

The story in Moonlight Drawn By Clouds was adapted from a webtoon published in 2013 that revolves around the life of South Korea’s Crown Prince Hyomyeong, a ruler of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). During the series, Prince Hyomyeong falls head over heels in love with Hong Ra-on, played by Kim Yoo Jung, who just happens to be a woman pretending to be a eunuch. As Yonhap reports, during the seventh episode of the Korean drama, Hyomyeong declared his love for Hong Ra-on which could explain the high ratings for the episode.

According to Soompi, Park Bo Gum’s Elle Korea interview featured questions that were submitted by fans. Besides the questions about what he looks for in a woman, fans also wanted to know about Bo Gum’s personal style. Park said that he enjoyed wearing “dandy style” clothing, but added that he’s often not the person making his outfit choices.

“My stylist and agency staff are the ones that do a good job telling me what to wear,” he said.

Now that Moonlight Drawn By Clouds has gotten to the 20 percent milestone, many K-drama fans are probably wondering whether Bo Gum will keep a promise that he made when the show premiered in August.

As Soompi reports, Park promised that if the show got a 20 percent share of viewership, he would host a fan meeting dressed in hanbok, the South Korean traditional clothing that characters wear in Moonlight.

However, there’s been no word yet on when the promise will be fulfilled. According to Soompi, the reason for the delay could stem from a packed filming schedule that’s keeping Park Bo Gum very busy. Therefore, the fan meeting may end up happening after production on Moonlight Drawn By Clouds has wrapped.
