Chloe Grace Moretz has ended a long distance relationship with Brooklyn Beckham, or has she? While participating in a new interview, conducted by fellow actress Julianne Moore, Chloe speaks of Brooklyn as her “boyfriend,” indicating that the romance may not have fizzled as much as the online gossip suggests. Adding to the suspicion that Chloe Grace Moretz and Brooklyn Beckham aren’t quite as finished as it would seem, the two are seen hugging on the cover of Teen Vogue and, while that may be the embrace of friends, it still suggests something more, given Chloe’s comments in the magazine’s interview. Moretz also opens up about acting in Hollywood and supporting the LGBTQ community, revealing that she has a very personal connection to the issues of gay rights.

Chloe Grace Moretz On Her Long Distance Relationship With Brooklyn Beckham

Chloe Grace Moretz graces the cover of Teen Vogue for their October/November issue and E! News reports that the November Criminals actress is not alone, hugging a mystery man with his back to the camera. While some are debating the identity of Chloe’s companion, a source close to Moretz, one who was on site during the photo shoot, says that the guy pal was none other than Chloe’s most recent love interest, Brooklyn Beckham.

“Brooklyn Beckham was on set during Chloe’s cover shoot, and appears in the cover image with her,” the source told E! News.

This begs the question of whether Moretz and Beckham have really broken up. Are they just trying to maintain a friendship, or are Chloe and Brooklyn still lovers? In her interview with Julianne Moore, the topic of long distance relationships and dealing with the paparazzi comes up and, in responding, Chloe Grace Moretz speaks of Beckham as though he’s a current boyfriend, not an ex-lover.

“Getting into a relationship with someone who also has lived some of their life between cities, from L.A. to New York to London, is easier. We both understand that there will be times when we can’t speak because we are too busy. Some of it is just based on trust,” Ms. Moretz says. “If you feel that you can trust each other and go eight hours without talking, then you have something that can withstand space and time.”

Could there still be something there? Or is Chloe speaking of Beckham in the present tense as a force of habit?

Chloe Grace Moretz Has A Personal Connection To The LGBTQ Community

Ms. Moretz is passionate about many social and political issues, chiefly among them is her support for gay rights and, as Chloe tells Teen Vogue, there’s a personal reason for her gay rights activism. Moretz tells Ms. Moore that two of her brothers are gay, which gives her personal reasons for supporting causes that are already important to her.

“When I was 11, my brothers came out as gay, and it was a big deal for me. I never saw them differently but never understood how it would affect them until I saw how my friends or their friends or our family friends reacted to it,” reveals Chloe Grace Moretz. “So, obviously, I picked up a mantle of protecting my brothers and advocating to show that they are humans — that gay rights are human rights and human rights are gay rights. I never felt there was ever a reason to not fight for LGBTQ rights.”

Speaking about social and political activism, Chloe says she’s most proud of her generation for defying the status quo and speaking out against the injustices that have not been previously addressed. Moretz adds that the advent of social media has helped her generation to work for change on a level not previously seen in the country’s history.

Ms. Moretz feels the internet has the power to give a voice to those who have previously gone unheard, if only people will start using the online community for the powerful tool that it can potentially become.

“We have a space to communicate with each other and tell our stories and build a network so we can defend our rights. I just hope that we don’t let it take away our humanity,” says Chloe Grace Moretz.
