Brad Pitt Turns His Back On His Family, Angelina Jolie To Blame?
Brad Pitt might be avoiding his duties as a grandson.
The actor has reportedly turned his back on his 94-year-old grandmother, Betty Russell, who is currently living in a substandard nursing home. Is Angelina Jolie to blame for Pitt’s neglect?
Radar Online is reporting that Pitt no longer communicates with his grandmother and hasn’t provided her with better health care than the terrible nursing home she lives in.
“She misses him,” Mary Ann Lanier, Russell’s sister, told the outlet. “He doesn’t write. I’m sure he’s busy, but I don’t know why he doesn’t stay in contact with his grandmother. He used to send her flowers every month and call her once in a while, but not anymore.”
Pitt’s grandmother currently resides at the Rose Manor Nursing Center, located in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Authorities cited Rose Manor for improper care, leading to a below-average rating for the facility.
In fact, the center, owned by Grace Living Centers, managed to obtain a one-star rating after inspectors discovered environmental hazards that were an “immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety.”
In 2015, Medicare gave the facility one-star following its inspection. Clearly, things have not changed.
Even still, Pitt has done nothing to move Russell to a better environment, despite the fact that he is worth over $480 million.

As far as Russell is concerned, she just wishes Pitt would visit her more often. The last time she saw Pitt was back in 2008.
“No, I guess I’ve not seen him since I went out for the wedding when he married Jennifer [Aniston],” Russell shared.
Despite the poor conditions of the nursing home, Russell is happy about her living conditions. This could be one reason why Pitt hasn’t moved her to a better home.
At the same time, Lori Edwards, another friend of Russell, revealed that Pitt actually does visit him grandmother on a regular basis.
“Brad does come down. I don’t know for sure if he’s been [there] this year,” she stated. “She [Russell] gets plenty of visitors, her daughter lives close by so she visits often. Betty’s fine, she’s well taken care of, she’s loved and her family visits her often.”
Meanwhile, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have fought off rumors of divorce throughout this past year.
According to The Hollywood Gossip, Pitt recently vacationed with friends in Croatia instead of spending the final days of summer with his family.

Apparently, Jolie wasn’t happy with Pitt’s decision.
“As Brad headed out the door, Angelina was in tears,” a source explained. “Truly feeling that she’d lost Brad once and for all. The marriage is broken and Brad and Angelina’s $400 million divorce is underway.”
If Pitt and Jolie are getting a divorce, then their $60 million Chateau Miraval is at stake.
“[Pitt] will fight over putting [it] up for sale [because] he worked so hard to restore it over the past eight years,” the source added.
Pitt and Jolie haven’t discussed the divorce rumors in public, though fans spotted the actress meeting with a lawyer in L.A. Was she starting the divorce process behind Pitt’s back?
“He was blindsided, but he’ll meet with his lawyer to discuss his options regarding custody and protecting his earnings,” the source explained. “The divorce is bound to get ugly.”
It isn’t known what caused Pitt’s marriage to turn ugly so fast, though Inquistr has previously reported that he may have cheated on Jolie with his Allied co-star, Marion Cotillard.
That being said, Gossip Cop revealed that Pitt and Jolie’s marriage is not on the rocks. Instead, the couple couldn’t be happier with their lives together.
“Despite their busy schedules, [Brad Pitt] and Angie have recommitted themselves to each other and are actually more in love than ever,” an insider explained. “Family time is a huge priority for them, so they make sure to spend quality time with one another alone, and with the kids.”
