LuAnn De Lesseps On Dorinda Medley’s Cover-Up Claim And Bethenny Frankel’s Possible Sex Scandal Involvement

Did LuAnn de Lesseps’ fiance, Tom D’Agostino, really ask Dorinda Medley to help cover up the fact that he was caught kissing another woman after the engagement? Does LuAnn think that Bethenny Frankel is somehow responsible for the story that she was recently caught performing a sex act on Tom in a bathroom stall? LuAnn answered those questions and more during her Wednesday night appearance on Andy Cohen’s talk show Watch What Happens Live.

During the after-show portion, a viewer called in and asked LuAnn why Tom asked Dorinda to take part in a cover-up over what happened at the Regency hotel. The viewer gave her opinion that it was shady of Tom to do such a thing. Not surprisingly, LuAnn defended Tom. LuAnn said that Tom didn’t ask Dorinda to lie for him but rather wanted her to give clarification.

According to LuAnn, what Dorinda later told Ramona Singer of what Tom asked of her was misconceived.

“Well I was standing with Tom at the Regency. What he was trying to do was explain what went down in his eyes because he knows everybody at the Regency, the bartenders, so we were actually standing there together when he called Dorinda. And he was asking her to help kind of clarify, not really cover up, so I think that was kind of misconceived. Even on Dorinda’s part.”

When host Andy Cohen asked LuAnn if she still goes to the Regency, LuAnn laughed and said that she and Tom still go to the Regency all the time. Andy immediately said that LuAnn should now be able to drink for free at the Regency considering all of the press that she has given the property.

On an episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, after Bethenny Frankel revealed to LuAnn de Lesseps that her fiance, Tom D’Agostino, was caught making out with another woman at the Regency Hotel the night before their engagement party and showed proof of it, Dorinda Medley told Ramona Singer that Tom, with LuAnn right there with him, called her in an attempt to have her lie for him. Dorinda, who actually introduced LuAnn to Tom, further claimed that Tom threatened that if she doesn’t lie for him, she won’t be invited to the wedding nor be friends with LuAnn.

“Last night I got a call. ‘Dorinda, it’s Lu, we’re at the Regency.’ I said, ‘What are you doing at the Regency? Are you with Tom?’ ‘Yes I’m with Tom and it’s all, now hold on,’ and she hands the phone over to Tom and Tom goes on and he goes, ‘Dorinda, listen to me. This is how it’s gonna go down. I’m gonna bring two waiters over and they’re gonna explain to the other girls…’ He wanted a meeting with me here, with the two waiters and then I, I’m gonna take a bullet for LuAnn and then bring it the rest of the girls and make it right. I said, ‘I’m not doing that,’ and he said, ‘If you’re not doing that then you’re not coming to the wedding and you’re not going to be friends with LuAnn.’ Then slammed the phone down on me.”

In a confessional interview, Dorinda said that she refused to lie for Tom.

“I don’t care if he brings over the waiter, the bartender, the President of the United States, I’m not going to represent them, lie for them, be part of this. I’m out!”

Dorinda also pointed out that Tom seems to have forgotten that there’s a “smoking gun”: the photo of him kissing the other woman that Bethenny received from a friend.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Sonja Morgan, during part two of the Season 8 reunion show, made her own claim that Tom threatened to leave her off the wedding guest list and end her friendship with LuAnn if she doesn’t lie about their sexual past together. As she has always done, LuAnn took Tom’s side.

During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live, LuAnn also addressed the Page Six article that claimed someone tried to put out a story that she was overheard performing a sex act on Tom in a bathroom stall. According to Page Six, sources close to LuAnn placed the blame on Bethenny.

“An anonymous tipster tried to fool Page Six into believing de Lesseps and fiancé Thomas D’Agostino Jr. slipped into a bathroom stall in NYC’s Regency Hotel, where the sketchy ‘source’ claimed that de Lesseps performed an unspeakable sex act on him for 45 minutes, while ‘audible moans’ and ‘whispering in French’ could be heard. Sources close to de Lesseps claim that Frankel’s allies are behind the tasteless tale.”

When asked about it by a viewer, LuAnn explained that she and Tom, who are planning on getting married on New Year’s Eve, weren’t even in New York City but in Philadelphia when the act supposedly took place. As for who’s responsible for the sex act story? Despite Andy Cohen’s prodding, LuAnn didn’t name Bethenny. In fact, LuAnn didn’t name anyone, although she did acknowledge that it’s supposedly one of her co-stars.

“It’s just people making stuff up to… I don’t know [who’s responsible]. You know what? It says a source says that it’s, you know, one of the housewives, so you know [shrugs]. It’s at the Regency again. It’s like really?”

Part three of The Real Housewives of New York City Season 8 reunion show aired on Wednesday night. Unfortunately for viewers who were hoping to hear from LuAnn de Lesseps’ fiance Tom D’Agostino himself, he wasn’t a part of the reunion show, nor were any of the other men involved with the housewives. Perhaps he’ll play a bigger part in Season 9 when he’s LuAnn’s husband?
