TIFF Fashion: The Ladies Bring The Heat To The Red Carpet, Reese Witherspoon, Natalie Portman And More
The Toronto International Film Festival is a two-week event which brings some of the biggest celebrities in film to Toronto, Canada. It is a chance for celebrities to not only show off their onscreen efforts but to also wow with their fashion choices for the occasion. For this reason, it’s always enjoyable to let the fashions entertain just as the films are sure to.
At this year’s TIFF, the women spared no effort and have, thus far, stepped onto the red carpet donning some of the most gorgeous attire by some of the world’s most notable designers. It is not an easy feat to narrow down the top looks when it comes to female celebrity fashion at such an event, but here is a definite prime list of some of the best.
Reese Witherspoon has jetted to Toronto for the premiere of the film in which she stars, Sing. The notable actress, mother, wife and entrepreneur reminded that she really hasn’t aged a day since she first came on the scene by making her appearance in a gorgeous floral Ulyana Sergeenko Couture dress.
Looking radiant and interacting with other celebrities, not only at the premiere, but also at an event held at the Shangri- La Hotel, Witherspoon looked graceful and elegant throughout the evening.
Another beauty who joined the event at the hotel and was onsite to premiere a film in which she stars, was the talented Oscar-winner, Lupita Nyong’o. She dazzled in Carolina Herrera at the premiere for the film Queen of Katwe.
Jennifer Connelly always knows how to stand out from the crowd and although other ladies opted for patterns, vibrant prints, and elegance, the radiant star shone in a sexy rocker-chic, leather number, which complemented her raven hair and smoky eyes perfectly, while premiering her film American Pastoral.
Cast-mate for the film which wowed, just as the stars’ designer looks did, Dakota Fanning, veered away from the edgy look and demonstrated that she is all grown up, by donning a dazzling Gucci number in a light green shade, complemented by embellishment that made her sparkle.
Anne Hathaway, known for her allure and beauty, as well as her abilities onscreen, was a vision in frills and prints, wearing a figure-flattering Rodarte piece to celebrate the premiere of Colossal at TIFF this year. The star paired the funky look with a half up knotted hairstyle to remind that she certainly is one of a kind.
Natalie Portman, always the classic beauty, was sure to dazzle in delight on two occasions while at TIFF. Her Dior coat dress, with embellished floral patterns, was a showstopper, while she premiered the film in which she stars, Planetarium.
While hitting the carpet in a form-fitting statement piece by Alexander McQueen, actress Brie Larson had all eyes on her for the TIFF event she was in attendance of. Larson was simply a stunner while premiering Free Fire.
Lastly, Ziyi Zhang looked classic, yet original in an electrifying and elegant Elie Saab number. The star was in attendance at the Toronto International Film Festival to showcase her onscreen talent in the film Magnificent Seven at Roy Thompson Hall.
Although there were a plethora of additional ladies in attendance which were equally as stunning at TIFF for the 2016 season, and there are sure to be more to bring the two-week event to a close, the ladies on the list certainly could not go unmentioned due to their impeccable choice in designer ensembles and the flawless manner each wore the pieces.
