Helen Mirren To Star In Her First Horror Film, Proves That Age Is No Barrier To Beauty
Helen Mirren may be 71-years-old, but she certainly isn’t too old to feature in a horror movie that is sure to scare the wits out of the audience. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Helen Mirren is due to play the role of Sarah Winchester, the eccentric heiress of the famous Winchester Rifle Company in Winchester.

The upcoming movie is based on the true story of Helen’s bizarre character, who believes that she is being haunted by the spirits of the people who were killed with the Winchester rifles.
Winchester will be Helen Mirren’s first movie in the horror film genre, as the veteran actress is best known for portraying wild and carefree characters ever since she first stepped into the movie industry. In fact, Age of Consent, Helen Mirren’s first movie, featured her as a wild character who had no inhibitions about becoming a painter’s nude muse.

And even though the veteran actress has retired from film nudity, the wild actress will perhaps be best remembered for appearing in explicit nude scenes in movies like Savage Messiah, Caligula, Oh Lucky Man!, Hussy, Excalibur, Cal, Calendar Girls, and Love Ranch.
Helen Mirren is one celebrity who loves to proudly flaunt her body. In the Age of Consent actress’s opinion, every woman must be proud of her femininity, and women need not be sensitive to social expectations. In fact, Helen Mirren is a sexually aware celebrity who has learned to match up her male counterparts’ on-screen sexual behavior while handling the often downright misogynistic opinions of her male costars.
In fact, there have been numerous occasions when the actress has been accused of advancing in the industry by relying more on her sexuality than her core acting skills. However, instead of being put off by the criticism, Helen Mirren has always had a fitting reply to her critics who often held sexist views. A 1975 interview with journalist Michael Parkinson bears testimony to Helen’s courageous stance.
During the infamous interview, the British journalist attacked the actress with a barrage of questions that aimed to show the then-young actress in a bad light. Despite the offensive line of questioning, the cool actress didn’t take the sarcasm her heart, instead replying in an offhand manner that it was “too boring” to answer questions that were based on her breasts, which Parkinson referred to as her “equipment.”
However, News Australia reports that Helen Mirren clearly spoke her mind when she once again crossed paths with Michael Parkinson in 2006, 30 years after their first confrontation.
“I thought you were a sexist person for mentioning my breasts, and also you wouldn’t actually say the word ‘breasts.'”

Even at her current age of 71-years-old, Helen Mirren is still undoubtedly attractive and can make heads turn. In 2007, the Calendar Girls actress was named as the World’s Sexiest Older Woman and, later, the actress went on the beat Elle Macpherson to win the Body of the Year award in 2011.
More recently, Pirelli, the famous tire maker, announced that it has featured Helen Mirren along with younger celebrities like Nicole Kidman, Julian Moore, and Kate Winslet, who have all showed off their seductive sides in its upcoming 2017 calendar. Pirelli’s annual calendar has gained popularity for featuring beautiful but provocative images of well-known female celebrities who are considered as modern-day sex symbols.
Helen Mirren’s new stint with Pirelli is a tremendous achievement for the world-class actress, as the veteran star has shown that age has nothing to do with being attractive and classy. According to Starts at 60, Peter Lindbergh, Pirelli’s photographer, echoed Helen’s viewpoint by commenting that beauty comes naturally.
“Beauty today is really twisted, for commercial reasons, so people think beautiful is what you see in advertising and in magazines – all these retouched women. You know what, you’re beautiful the way you are.”
