Brittany Kerr: Jason Aldean Kiss Was A Lapse In Judgement
Brittany Kerr apologized today for her drunken tryst with married country singer Jason Aldean.
Kerr, who was forced to delete her Twitter account after several people called her a “tramp” and a “home wrecker,” said that the kiss she shared with Aldean was a “lapse of judgment.”
Kerr said:
“The actions I portrayed recently were not a representation of my true character, but a lapse in judgment on my part … I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone that has been affected by this, including my friends & family.”
Aldean, who is married to his high school sweetheart, Jessica Ussery, was spotted canoodling with Kerr at a club last week. Aldean said that the makeout session ended at the bar. Still, the country singer admitted that he had hurt his wife and offended some of his fans.
Aldean apologized, saying:
“The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that’s the end of the story.”
The NY Daily News reports that several of Aldean’s fans expressed disappointment in the singer. That, however, hasn’t slowed record sales. Aldean’s hit Take A Little Ride hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts this week.
